Razer Kishi, just because it’s Razer, it has to be good right? Well, I’ll be honest. Compared to a Stadia controller, Amazon Luna controller or Xbox controller for XCloud, the Kishi holds up on its own. I don’t have huge hands, so to me it feels comfortable. Sometimes I find myself wanting to move my hands closer together while using this because of playing on controllers but I have to keep remembering I have my iPhone 11 Pro Max in a mobile wide style controller. So I just readjust my hands and I’m good again. The Kishi comes with phone grips inside to hold your phone. A “A” and “B” rubber style grip to hold certain style iPhones. The pamphlet inside the box will tell you which ones, but I know “B” is supposed to be for iPhone 11 Pro Max, but in removing my case, it feels the pads are to hard for the phone to fully connect to the lighting adaptor on the Kishi so it knows to connect. I had many disconnects while using it that caused me to think mine was a lemon and almost returned it. So I removed them both from the controller and just I used my phone with an Apple brand suede case (thin case btw), inserted it on the lighting connector, clasp both sides of the Kishi on the phone and it connects better than the pads. Other phone models may work better, but for me, this was better. Secondly, with the controller, it’s awkwardly uneven in weight. Trying to hold just the right side will cause your phone to fall out and drop to the floor or on you. So FYI, if I wanna grab a drink while I’m playing, I just hold the phone, not the controller to keep hold of it and I’m good. Thirdly, it does have a charge pass through with a lightning jack so you can play and charge. Again, depending on your phone, battery life will diminish quickly. Another good thing, is the triggers, they’yre tight and responsive, quick releasing and feel like they spring back quickly. Used it on Crucible on D2 on stadia and I went super sweaty with a great game. The joysticks have zero to no drift, that I noticed, and zero latency. Very nice for shooters. Works excellent with Stadia, great with xCloud if the servers weren’t crap. Haven’t tried Luna. As a PC gamer, we all like the 1ms low latency, quick responsive equipment. This performs admirably. The buttons don’t feel squishy, the dpad feels sturdy, but rarely use myself unless I emote, but over all I’m pleased with this item. The home button, options or start buttons (whatever you prefer to call them) feel cheap. Hard airy plastic cheap. Nothing against it, they’re totally fine, just feel cheap to me. Overall a 4/5. Main reason being the grips inside the controller not fitting properly and the uneven no grip of the controller to the phone that if handled wrong could cause a phone to drop. Other than that I would definitely recommend to a cloud gamer or CoD/PubG gamer. Pros: great for cloud gaming, mobile gaming in general, easy to pack with you, charger friendly, light and responsive. Cons: not worth the price tag of 99.99$. I have a stadia controller, Amazon Luna controller and Xbox controller, all with their respected phone holders that total together (controller and clip) less than 70$ and work just as great. Plus the zero phone latching securing with uneven weight to hold either side of controller without causing phone to drop. Final verdict, if you have the cash and want to try it, you won’t be disappointed but not thrilled and have your jaw drop. If you want something else, search Amazon or Google for a controller clip for cheap and you won’t have missed anything.

Fits easily in pocket, easy to use and connect to iPhone, does additionally brings a different plastic holder if you have the update square iPhones. As for gaming, will connect to all supported controllers apps and will connect to the Xbox app for remote play with ease. There is no lag between button presses and don’t have a need to carry a Bluetooth controller to game. And will stretch to fit your iPhone.

I purchased this controller MAINLY to play Genshin Impact and it works! (I have an IPhone XS MAX). I have pictures to show proof! I haven't tried it with other games but I’m pretty sure it’s limited. The design is nice and sleek, controller almost NO lag, feels more on the plastic-end but definitely worth it. It’s about the same width as the original Nintendo Switch. Definitely worth it for all you Genshin Impact-mobile-iPhone players out there! Oh and FYI, the phone case needs to be off the phone in order for it to work/fit properly!

Nice controller to make mobile gaming better. Full size joysticks, similar to Xbox. Buttons feel great. Love that it powers from your phone so no need to charge. Controller does kind of wobble especially on the left side. Not the most ergonomic controller so not recommended for long gaming sessions. One of the better priced controllers at the time of purchase but much better options today for the same price.

Got this on clearance for around $50, which is definitely about what this is worth. A bit awkward to set up, but once its set up it works great. Virtually lag free, good feel in hands, definitely one of the best ways to play mobile games without bluetooth controllers.

Been waiting for some company or another to release something like this, just a controller that turns your phone into something like a switch. Overall, it's very functional, although at times it can feel kind of cheap, and it's a little bulkier than I would have liked. It looks like this is MFi (Made for iPhone) compatible. I can also confirm it does work for PS4's Remote Play, and works pretty well. All buttons are functional with the only catch being the DS4's touchpad, you just have to use the touchpad on the screen instead. Oh and the PS button doesn't work, have to use the button on the screen (home button on the controller doesn't seem to do anything). I also tried a couple of random iPhone games, such as Call of Duty Mobile, and it worked well without any issues. Didn't really even have to set anything up, the controller opens up with an elastic band across the back, and you stick the lightning port into one end and kind of stretch it over the other end. Really simple to pop open and attach. It also stays in pretty secure. Only time it might pop out is if you're flexing the phone like you're trying to snap it in half. Most of the buttons feel pretty decent. Joysticks and main buttons feel pretty high quality. The triggers feel really cheap though, and is unfortunate because everything else feels really nice. When you press the main R2/L2 triggers it feels like a cheap $10 controller, like when you can feel plastic grinding on plastic. I don't know why they couldn't have made these feel a bit smoother and higher quality, especially given the price of this product (granted part of that is going to Apple for the MFi certification I imagine). It's also kind of bulky. Even when you have it closed and not hooked up to the phone, it would be kind of awkward to carry around in your pocket it's so big. When it's attached, it's also quite a bit taller than my iPhone XR and adds considerable length to it. But it does fit comfortably in your hands when using. I have a switch, and playing with that for a while can make my hands sore after a bit because it's all so cramped. This is a little more comfortable than that, but also a bit bulkier. All in all it does a pretty good job of what it was meant to do. The biggest complaint I have is the trigger buttons, they feel terrible. The bulkiness I can deal with. Just hope they add more games to iPhone that support controller, the PS5 continues with the Remote Play support they've had going with PS4, and really hope Apple can come to terms with Microsoft on having xCloud on iPhone (although I really just want to stream from my console, don't know why Microsoft can't just make that an option on iPhone). A lot of these will determine how useful this product is.

This is awesome, the size compacts smaller, buttons are great and clickable sticks! Charges thru phone and no lag while playing games! There is pass thru charging port built in controller. Works with great App Store games and most awesome is that it is compatible/plays ps4 remote play games! Absolutely love it, couldn’t be more happier!

I love this controller! I originally purchased the Android version and I was using it with my Google Pixel 3XL so I could play Fortnite with my nephew. I didn't like it so much with my Pixel. The controller caused my Pixel to get really hot and the gameplay was laggy (I'll write more about that in the Android review). I exchanged for the iPhone version and I am so glad I did. I'm using it with my 11 Pro Max. I haven't had any problem with updating the firmware and I find the controller responsive for my uses. I wish Epic and Apple would stop fighting so I could play Fortnite in my iPhone, but I have found lots of compatible games. I created a Razer folder on my phone to help me remember the compatible games. So far I have played Call of Duty Mobile PUBG Mobile N.O.V.A Legends Shadowgun Legends Modern Combat 5 Xenowerk Snow Party (snowboarding) Snow Party World Tour Snow Party Aspen Asphalt 8 Asphalt 9 Riptide GP2 Beach Buggy Racing Sonic the Hedgehog The Revenge of Shinobi Crazy Taxi Full of Sparks Jetpack Joyride I haven't had any problems with overheating or lag on my iPhone. All of the games are responsive and fun to play with the controllers. I also like not having my thumbs on the screen, I can see more of the game, particularly in the FPS and racing games.

I bought the Kishi because I wanted something more compact than an Xbox controller for playing games on my phone. For casual content, like Minecraft, it’s nearly flawless. For anything that absolutely relies on the triggers to work flawlessly, it isn’t very suitable. The triggers seem to vary between hyper sensitive, and not sensitive enough. I can press them lightly at times and they activate fine. Whereas I have to depress them quite a lot other times and it’ll activate initially, but then again on the rebound to the neutral position. One example is when using bows in Minecraft, I hold the trigger hard to ready the arrow, let go a bit to relax my finger, and the arrow fires and re-readies itself. In something casual, it’s okay, but I would not rely on this for say, competitive content on Game Pass. Outside of the triggers everything else is fine. Doesn’t fit my phone with the case on it as expected. The buttons and thumb sticks are nice to use. It’s not as flimsy as expected. The passthrough port for charging works.
