Bought this for my son a few weeks ago and my son loves them.

My son is a gamer a really enjoys them, provides good sound system.

Nicely built, 7.1 works great on my ps4 and mac. Recommended.

Decent product, not bad, not good. I would recommend this for others, but personally not for me.

There was a huge problem with these headphones. When I would make a call on Skype or any other program, it would work for a few minutes, but then I would lose sound completely. No one would be able to hear me in the call and I could not hear anyone either. Not only that, but if I were to open up YouTube to try to listen to a music video or any other program on my computer, there was no sound at all. I had to restart my computer each time the sound stopped working. I tried troubleshooting it following tips online from the razer website, but nothing seemed to work for me. Also people complained that my microphone sounded like I was in a canyon with major echo. I tried installing the razer synapse program to adjust my settings and even that did not help. I would avoid purchasing these headphones!!

The one thing I do like about this headset was the mic compared to other headset mics. Other than that, the rest is typical gaming headset affair.

Used for few days. wasn't comfortable for me to keep it on for even 10 min. Returned.

Unable to take advantage of all features when using with ps4. Look elsewhere.

I know it's a bold statement, but I've had my hands on the Razer Thresher TE, the Kraken Pro TE, and the Razer Nari. And of all the headsets I've tried, my Kraken 7.1 v2 is still the best Razer headset I've owned that I purchased from Best Buy. Virtual surround 7.1 is still pretty good. The thing about THX Spatial Sound is that it is not yet perfected. THX spatial sound either makes a game sound great or sound muffled. But of all the headsets I've mentioned in this review, the Kraken 7.1 v2 is technically the loudest (and has very deep sounding bass). Unless you have a dedicated sound card on your PC (in that case, get the Razer Tiamat which is True 7.1 Surround), I'd say this is the best headset you can get to go hand in hand with your gaming experience.

I have no complaints about this headset. The sound quality is great. My online friends have noticed a huge difference when we are talking. It sits comfortably on my head. The retractable mic is convenient.

I'm on my second pair of these headphones in less than a two week period of time and I have to say I'm very disappointed. My first pair had some extremely annoying rattling going on in the right speaker - they were unusable. My second pair has terrible cable noise which is constantly audible in the left speaker; I've never experienced this before with headphones... If I turn my head the noise is just loud and grating. If I breathe and the cable just slightly rubs against something I can hear it; it's maddening. This one thing has rendered these completely unusable for me. Sound quality wise they aren't very good out of the box - you have to tweak them a bit via the EQ; once you've adjusted them, they are decent. The microphone appears to be good and I like that the mic is retractable because then it's not lingering in my field of vision. Comfort wise - yeah, these things are really comfortable.

I bought my headset for $50 on Black Friday and I'm so glad I grabbed that deal because this is the best headset I've ever owned! I used this to play fortnite and the surround sound is unreal, meanwhile everyone compliments how clear they can hear my voice. The comfortability I awesome because it's plush foam texture and it just cups your ear. I recommend buying the oval cupped ones if your ears are on the larger side.

extremely comfortable. the pads around the ear are super soft and the headphones don't squeeze my head. great for long game sessions. the sound quality isnt the best straight out of the box but if you change the settings in Razer Synapse they sound amazing.

I'm a Razer fangirl, I know this and it's caused me to make some purchases in the past that I've come to regret... this being one of them. The sound quality is great (when you can get the surround to work), the Chroma feature is also great (when it works), the mic however has never worked well, so I just keep it muted. As of today, Synapse doesn't recognize the headphones, the surround sound doesn't work and the Chroma lights are dead. All in all, they have great products... if you don't mind replacing them once the 1 year warranty expires. I'm very careful with my gaming and streaming gear, I'm not rough with my peripherals, yet without fail, they start dying within a month of their warranty. This will be my last Razer fangirl purchase. After 11 years of being a faithful customer, I will no longer buy their products. I love them, but hate replacing them every year.

The headset has been very reliable, paired with the software they recommend it’s amazing, coming from Razer which makes very good, quality products. The aspect of Chroma looks very cool as well.

Worked fantastic for the first week, then I pulled the mic out to play some CS one night and no one could hear me, messed around with some settings, and slowly, one after the other, programs stopped recognizing the mic as a usable device. Audacity, all games in my steam library, Skype, Discord, everything, it just stopped working. The sound is great, headset itself is very comfortable, audio quality is fantastic, but apparently the microphone just sucks. Not worth $100.

Im with this headset for almost 2 years and it doesnt gave me any type of problem. Excelent sound system. I will for sure buy more razer's products

I did like the quality of them but as of tonight they have died. The only light on is the Mic light when plugged in. They also cut out sound wise and lost power even a couple seconds of plugging them back in. Also Support is non existent as the form for support ends in errors. I will probably get something better or if they can fix or replace them Ill give them a shot. Ive had these since February and its beginning of July now. Lasted less than 6 Months.
