Not for PS4. You will run into DAC issues out of the box. If you are okay with not touching the DAC and just running the audio through it, then I would recommend it. However, I don't believe any company as large and recognized as a Razer should advertise compatibility where there is none. If it were advertised for PC then it would likely be a 5-star review however in that case there are better brands. I also contacted Razer support and they beat around the bush on the issue and ultimately told me that it was not truly compatible with console and referred me to the BestBuy return policy. It is not BestBuys issue, they simply stock the product. This is on Razer for selling a defective product. With respect to delivery, great delivery time and care for the package when ordering through BestBuy.

I've used these both on PC gaming and PS4. Using them for gaming on PC you can take advantage of all the cool features these have to offer like 7.1 surround, THX, audio customization etc. Really cool and I found no major issues in using them on PC to be honest. Very cool headset for PC use. I however, don't game on the PC as much as my PS4 these days. Using them for the PS4 you only plug them into your controller via 3.5 jack. There's no way to plug the usb into your console and take advantage of any added features. Don't get me wrong,I think the sound is still decent thru console even with the issues below, but if that's your preferred method of gaming you may want to look at something else. The issues I faced when using them for PS4 is: -Sound cutting in and out periodically. (A few times per hour) -The volume is not high enough even when its at its highest. -The volume control is easily moved up and down accidentally by rubbing on your shirt or clothing causing me to pause and fix it. This is the most annoying to me. As far as fit I found these to be a very comfortable fit, even for long gaming sessions and a very nice looking headset but at times I wish they were a little tighter on my head as the sound feels far away and not loud enough at times gaming on PS4. Depending on which way you are going to use the headset (console vs PC) this might sway you one way or another on whether or not to buy these. Since all my friends game on PS4 I wouldn't recommend these to them, if we all gamed on PC I likely would.

Included- headset, USB audio controller This Razer Kraken Tournament Edition Wired Stereo Gaming Headset is compatible on multiple devices. It works on PC, Mac, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices with a 3.5mm audio jack. Cons- It is not noise cancelling. That would be an awesome feature to take the headset to the next level. The size of the headphones are big and beefy. To some that might be a negative. They are wired. For another premium feature, it would be awesome if these could be wireless. The USB audio controller doesn't work with the Xbox, though that was the purpose of getting these. Pros- The color is sleek and appealing. I like the all black headset. The Kraken headset is very comfortable, even with long periods of wear time. There is cooling gel in the ear cushions. Even though it's bulky in size, it's very lightweight due to the aluminum frame. The audio features include THX Spatial audio and bass control with 17 different levels (when working). The Kraken is comfortable and the quality is decent. I do think it's somewhat misleading since it comes with features that can't always be used. It says the headset is compatible with so many devices. That part is true because the headset will work with them, but not all features work with all devices. I guess I don't like that part. I expect all features to work with all devices. So that is why I gave this product a lower rating.

worst headset that I've ever purchased. Its advertised as "tournament edition" but has awful sound quality. Also, the THX only works on PC. The headset itself is easily bendable and hard to get in a comfortable position. To top it off, if the earbuffs pop out, you'll never get them back on. I threw in the garbage where it belongs. If you wanna a true gaming headset, look at others because this is NOT the correct choice.

I purchased this razer headset after my wireless Astro A50's were put to pasture. The sound of the speakers in the headset is decent. I wouldn't say they were on par with my A50s but what would you expect for 1\3 of the price. The real problem with this headset is the mic!!! At first purchase, the mic worked if placement was precise. However shortly after the 30 day return window, I would have to raise my voice to an annoying level in order to be heard in discord and skype. Even then it was difficult for others to hear me.

Even when using the razor synapse, it has a ton of driver conflicts. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with razer support and we still couldn’t get it to work correctly on my desktop. Works decent on my laptop but still cannot boost the mic enough.
