Microphone not working and clicking sound in ears
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a Christmas gift and not even a year old and it is already shot! We had a much cheaper one that lasted a few years before it needed to be replaced! Very disappointed

Excellent sound, but not really portable
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The headphones are surprisingly lightweight and comfortable given their size. The earpieces, in particular, fit snugly around the ears without applying too much pressure. The audio quality is where these headphones really stand out. The included amp can make even the faintest in-game sounds resonate with a clarity that makes you realize what you've been missing. Calibrating the amp is also reasonably simple. Unlike other users, I had no trouble in achieving an excellent mix that made the full range of the audio spectrum distinct and clear. The microphone also seems to pick up audio reasonably well, but given that my interaction with it was limited to output, I have to admit I didn't have much to go by when evaluating this other than my own impressions. The real, and potentially deal-breaking, issue with this unit lies in its cable design. Having to use an amp necessarily limits your movable range near your gaming rig, so taking this thing on the road (to a tournmaent, say) really isn't a viable option. What you get in terms of high-fidelity audio you pay for in freedom of movement. If you gaming setup is crammed into a tight space, as mine is, you may find yourself accidentally pulling the amp off a tabletop or shelf, especially if you own a curious cat or two. All in all, a great headphone setup if you intend to keep it limited to home use, but not one well suited to travel.

PC Audio Jacked Up
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After installing Razer software, i can't get my computer audio to work without a bunch of jacking around. Sometimes i want to use the headphones, but most of the time, I DO NOT.

Don’t get it.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a fairly expensive gaming headset you don’t get much. Mic isn’t as good as other headsets around the price range and you sound isn’t the best. Wish i could’ve returned it earlier. Don’t get this headset!

Excellent PC gaming headset
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Kraken Tournament edition is a pretty good gaming headset. They’re comfortable as my Sony MDR XB950T which I can wear for a couple of hours comfortably and lighter too. The cooling gel on the ear pads does help a little bit on keeping them cool longer. But after 30mins they feel warm as my other gaming headset. Overall build quality is excellent. For the control box, you can adjust the game/chat balance, Bass control, mute switch, volume, and THX Spatial Audio toggle. When you turn on the THX Spatial it enhances the overall sound to be more 360 like a home theater system. For the most part, it does a good job with most games. For FPS I prefer to have it off since some of the sound effects like bullets tends to make them sound muffled. If you do use the headset with your PS4 or Xbox you won’t be able to use the THX Spatial feature. One feature I like is how the mic retracts when is not in use. Overall they’re a good PC headset with the added benefit of working with other game consoles as a stereo gaming headset. If you're mainly a PC gamer the Razer Kraken is a good option but for console gamers you might be better off with dedicated console headset.

bought for xbox one. the audio and reviews are bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had expensive and cheap headsets for over 20 years now on all brands. This is simply the worst headset ever. Its a 100 dollar headset that isnt half as good as an old 39 dollar turtle beach I have. I tried this one day then went back to my broken old headset and taped it up to use it instead. If you have an XBOX do NOT buy this really bad quality audio headset. I should have read reviews before buying as everyone says the same thing. If not for coronovirus id have already returned it. Very bad audio quality.

They stopped working
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In less than having these a year for my son, they have stopped working. Is there anything that the company can do in order to fix this issue. He hears no sound out of them and we have plugged them into various other electronics making sure it was not his controller that was the issue. I think that it is the aux cable that runs into the headset that is the cause of the issue.

Required Software Driver is Terrible
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: The headset is comfortable and fits over the ear. Cons: The required "razer" software center and drivers are bloatware and unreliable. The headset "crackles" constantly with no apparent fix, this is a known issue, a web search for those terms will return a great many results but no solutions.
