Man all I gotta say is that these headphones are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I’ve been trying so many gaming headphones and most of them didn’t perform the way how these do. The sound hits you so well and the lows, mids, and highs are clear and don’t crash on each other and make the sound muddy. These are a must for everyone to try and experience how amazing these are!

Razer Kraken V3 Hypersense has an amazing audio quality for the gaming or music and has an excellent build quality. Looks very premium in terms of design, feel and look. Its very comfortable and has great microphone for video calls or for gaming conversations. Cables are not detachable and is long enough for wired microphone with USB-A.
The earmuffs/cushions made on hybrid of plush memory foam, leatherette is large and can completely wrap the ears comfortably (great as noise isolation). Its internal filling is a plush memory foam, which is very soft and has no obvious pressure, which brings good sound insulation.
This headphone is like the last generation Kraken V3 that includes THX Spatial Audio, Razer Triforce Titanium 50mm drivers with the new feature of Hypersense that provides Haptic feedback to the ear cups. Haptic feedback on a headset is an amazing feature for the gaming experience with the best audio experiences. Like last generation, cardioid mics are detachable with leatherette foam ear cups and Razer Chroma RGB. RGB lighting on the ear cups can be customized via the Razer synapse app.
Razer has introduced two versions of the hypersense one with wired and other as wireless (Bluetooth as pro version) which will be available sometime this year end. Hypersense creates vibrations around the ear cups and creates a movie theater experience. There is a button on the headset that can be adjusted to three different levels of vibrations and also has the option to completely switch off. Audio quality is excellent with the haptic feedback.
Overall, great quality headset with great sound, comfort & style in affordable price range for gaming enthusiasts.

Purchased for my teen. Would not recommend it. The plastic connecting the adjustable headband to the ear cushion cracked and broke after only 3 months. The audio quality is great, fits comfortably over the ears, and the light-up show is nice but the quality of the adjustable headband is not meant for regular use. Contacted Best Buy but was told there is nothing they could do.

- I don’t think i’ve ever been disappointed with razor product , well maybe back in early 2000, but now razor deff feel like they continue to create some quality product and Kraken V3 is one of them
- kraken v3 hypersense is a usb headset that works for PC, Mac and Playstation.
- from the looks I love how this headset look, it so fluffy looking that it gives enough protection of comfort when wearing it, great matted black color, and design is fairly simple a huge Razor printed logo right the headset band. a detachable mic to go with it.
- it’s a razor product so you know it will have RGB and the kraken v3 does have it on each ear covers.
- if you want a wireless version razor also offer the $200 Pro edition but for this review is the wired version i have, they pretty much the same difference ofcourse the connection differences
- what’s unique about razors headset is their very own haptic feedback that’s called hypersense, pretty much it react to sounds that’s gives you a more immersive experience, and after having to play around with it I enjoy these kind of features. it makes me enjoy the extra level of immersion that I would think it’s possible, gimmick or not It’s nice to have an option to have this feature and I think it should be the standard when it comes to gaming headset
- this headset also support playstation, if you are planing to buy this for PS5 just keep in mind that the cord is USB powered and its only 6ft long. it’s not really design to be use in the living room while you chill 12 feet away. if you do have a ps5 in your game room where you play near the monitor then yeah i’d say go for it.
- i have no complaints with kraken v3, the audio clarity from my experience was top notch adding that extra vibration I get was a great combination that I didn’t think I would enjoy.

This razer gaming headset is my first from this brand and I have to say they are very nice. Nicer than other brands I’ve tried. They also look very nice if not a little large for my personal taste but understandable.
Sound quality is great. Compared to my Astro a50s. They are comparable at a fraction of the cost. Solid mid range and solid clean highs. And very punchy bass. I’m not a bass head and the majority of games I play are FPS. So I’m not looking for booming headphones as there are a lot of explosions. Though for majority of gamers they will be very pleased. Hyper sense sound is cool and weird at the same time. Lol. Hard to explain. But I like it. I think with time the technology will get better. Like the ps5 dual sense controller. Side note. These do actually work on ps5 as well. Which is a plus.
Controls are basic and work well. With the mic friends hear me loud and clear while playing warzone. You can toggle and off on the headset. They are not heavy or uncomfortable. But I have to warn some of you that if you run hot like I do. These will make your ears and head hot rather quickly. But I am always hot. So my astros keep me cool when I want to switch between the 2. Also because of the sound quality and built quality plus the sound features, these are a better bet since these are price rather low what a good set of gaming headphones.
these are RGB and can be changed/controlled through the app on pc. So all in all I’m happy and would recommend for gamers on a budget.

Garbage. Right ear muff just came off and when i tried ti waranty it with razer they refused to get me a replacement due to "consumer damage". If light bumping of my head listening to music was enough to break the trashy adhesive on your headset, then the headset is either defective or trash! Youve officially lost a customer. Never buying anything razor again if there going to be this fragile

I actually enjoy using these headphones. It provides a unique experience when listening to music, watching a movie and playing games. Razer introduces something called Hypersense and advertises it as the latest in haptic feedback in a headset. There are other headsets on the market that provide haptic feedback, but not quite like these, according to Razer. Of course they would say that. But underneath that tech is a company called Lofelt, and all they do is specialize in haptics. Again, I think it’s pretty cool.
Let’s get the objective stuff out the way; yup, it will sync with Chroma. Using the Razer Synapse Audio tab, you’ll be able to enable and customize THX profiles, enhance sound via bass boost, sound normalization and voice clarity, and set mic profiles.
Sound quality-wise, I was very impressed. Leaving the haptic feedback off and setting the sound profile to Music, I was able to soak in music tracks from Dr. Dre’s Chronic 2001 (Instrumental) and was quite pleased with the full range of the TriForce Titanium 50mm drivers. Switching the profile to Movie, I watched Saving Private Ryan’s D-Day scene and was also very pleased with the sound quality. Hearing the bullets whistle by and splash in the water is quite surreal. Finally, I switched the profile to Game and played my guilty pleasure, Diablo 2 Resurrected. Again, no real complaints here other than that the Game profile is probably not my favorite profile. I left THX Spatial Audio on for all my listening observations.
Finally, the addition of Hypersense is quite a treat. Every example I provided above with Hypersense turned on adds a little something that was never there before. The bass line in “What’s The Difference”, the explosions on Omaha Beach, and the havoc created when my ‘zon throws her Lightning Fury to a field of cows have all been enhanced with this headset. And what’s even more pleasing is the haptic feedback is not monotone in nature, each unique sound provides a corresponding sensation, and it’s pretty nice. I’m going back and watching scenes from my favorite movies now because of these headphones. Lofelt did a great job with haptic feedback integration.
Hypersense has three settings (low/medium/high) and I felt that low and medium were just enough feedback to complement my listening volume, which is on the higher side. High feedback setting is a bit overbearing and can be more distracting than anything. The best haptics are those that are subtle and natural, and I found those in the low/mid settings. There is no fine tuning between the profiles, unfortunately.
The Kraken V3 Hypersense and its USB-A connection can be used on some consoles as well (PS5, Switch on dock) according to its product page. Since these headsets are wired, I think a wireless variant would be more appropriate for the couch potato gamer. Speaking of wired, the premium sleeved cable on the headset is plenty of length, but like some other headsets I own, it would be nice if I could switch where the cable is connected (my PC is on the right, but cable is connected to the left earcup). The headband and ear cups are very comfortable, and I love the subtle look to them. Overall, nice job Razer on making these headsets.

Great Gaming Headset

The Kraken V3 Hypersense is my second pair of Razer Kraken Headsets, my first was the Razer Kraken Pro V2 and I loved and used those every day. But I must say the V3 Hypersense is a definite improvement. Inside the box comes the headset (USB powered), the detachable mic, a few stickers, and the usual paperwork.
Let’s talk about the design, first off with the earpads which are also detachable and therefore swappable. The ear cushions are big and super comfy with a lot of padding( feels like memory foam) that have a leather-like material on the outside and silk-like material on the parts of the headset that makes contact with your skin. The headbands are also very comfortable and I can confirm that after hours of use I feel no pressure on the top of my head nor do I feel any clamping pressure nor any real heat build up around my ears. On the left headset, you have a volume control, mic-mute toggle, and the microphone port while on the right we have just the hypersense button ( hypersense refers to their haptic feedback feature) which controls the levels of the bass effect. The headset build also feels very solid, I tried stretching and twisting a few different ways and I have total confidence they will be fine.
How do they sound…? Fantastic! You really can’t go wrong with this. I tried this with both my pc and my PS4 and on default they sound great but when you turn on hypersense it sounds incredible, it really makes you feel the impact of many of the actions happening in your game/media. But I must warn you if you are in an intense(sounding) part of your game or there is a lot of bass response from your media you might be overwhelmed and want to minimize the hypersense effect or turn it off. Otherwise sound in general was very crisp and smooth and everything came through clearly.
When it comes to the mic, my friends said my voice came through clearly and I can confirm that when I swapped headsets with them and listened to their voice I was satisfied with their audio through the Kraken V3s.
The last few things I can say about this Headset refer to Razer Synapse app. I would definitely say install it on your pc because through this you can mess around with the sound (volume and haptic intensity), enhancement such as the bass, voice and audio equalizer, mic settings, and finally lighting. Yes, I said lighting. These headsets have RGB lighting found on each headset and involve the Razer logo and ring around the logo that you can not only pick any color you want but you have three effects: breathing, spectrum cycling, and static. This was a great addition and I appreciate it.
Like I said in the beginning this headset is great. Not only is it comfortable but it seems to be very durable and it is packed with many features intended to enhance your media consumption and listening experience. The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a little swivel on each headset to allow for some lateral movement and maybe a much longer chord. These are a definite buy either way.

Next-Gen Experience for Headphones

--- SETUP ---
Setting up the Razer Kraken V3 is as simple as plugging in the USB cable to your PC. It automatically opens the software needed to install and you can be using your new headphones in about 5 minutes.
--- FEATURES ---
LED lights, haptic feedback (vibration or rumble in the headset), and USB powered connection.
--- PERFORMANCE ---
I was not expecting to enjoy the headset as much as I ended up enjoying it. Having well over 8 pairs of gaming headsets, you can say that I’ve been around the block looking for the next best pair. What I found is that these are not only comfortable to wear (especially for someone who wears glasses), but they sound amazing and FEEL even more so. Yes, that’s right, they FEEL superb. With just about anything you watch, the headphones will start to vibrate. I tested them while playing all sorts of games. In music-heavy games like Tetris Effect, you will feel the base and placement of every block you lay. In games like Deathloop or other shooters, you can feel the impact of the shots fired as well as the direction you are getting attacked from. In scary games like Visage, I was more immersed into the atmosphere of the game and the tension of the character (represented by heartbeats) was literally palpable because of the headphones.
--- EXPECTATIONS ---
After using these headphones, I don’t feel like playing without haptic feedback ever again. I wish I could get a pair that worked with my Series X because I discovered something else. I am hard of hearing from my right ear. As a result, in many games, I sometimes have a hard time hearing where my enemies are. This is especially true for shooters. These headphones actually help with my disability because I can now feel where the danger is coming from without having to hear it.
--- APPROVAL ---
If you’re looking for a next-gen like experience or just want to be immersed into all video games you play, these are well worth the investment.

Solid Headset and Immersive Audio

This is a great headset. I was a little skeptical of the Hypersense feature as I thought it’d be more of a gimmick than anything else, but it really did add quite a bit of immersion for me to the point where I didn’t really notice it specifically anymore and it just became part of the experience.
The build quality is excellent. It’s mostly plastic through out, but it feels very strong. I’m not rough on my headsets, but I do not get the sense I need to be delicate with this headset. The headband is very soft and the ear cups are made of some kind of leatherette material that I really like. The headband was easy to adjust for my head and has numbered ticks on each side so I can make it even, which I very much appreciate. On the left ear cup there’s a volume wheel and and mic mute and on the right ear cup there’s a button that adjusts the Hypersense intensity. These all felt good to me and were easy to find by feel. The microphone is detachable and very easy to position. Unfortunately the USB cable is not detachable. The cable itself is high quality and there’s some strain relief where it connects to the headset, but I do worry about how it might hold up long term.
The audio quality is excellent, especially compared to the older Kraken Pro I had a few years back. It’s a little boomier than my Steelseries I’ve been using, but the details in the sound weren’t lost to me. I normally don’t go for the virtual surround stuff and just stick with stereo, but to my ear the THX audio does add more dimension without making it sound like a weird echo chamber. I’m 50/50 on whether or not I’m going to leave it on long term, but it sounds great either way. Microphone quality was very good. The samples I recorded of myself sounded a little better than the Steelseries I’ve been using and all of my friends said they could hear me well.
I was intrigued by the Hypersense feature. There’s a button on the headset to adjust the intensity level or deactivate it completely. I left it on the middle setting most of the time. I will say that for content that I’m not actively engaging with the Hypersense is a little distracting, but in game it fades into the background very quickly in a good way. The kind of thing that you don’t notice when it’s working, but do when it doesn’t. Things like explosions or weapon hits had a lot more impact with it enabled. Playing multiplayer games I did notice that people with loud mics or boomy voices would trigger the haptic drivers in a way I didn’t like, but that was mostly only in lobbies.I would compare it to force feedback on a game controller, though it’s a little less nuanced since it’s reacting to every sound and not programmed for specific events like force feedback is.
This was my first experience with Razer’s Synapse software and it is excellent. It offers so many ways to adjust sound and customize the RGB. I was happy to be able to set the specific blue that I use on the rest of my peripherals instead of having to approximate it on a color wheel as well.
Overall I’m very pleased with this headset. I wish the cable was removable, but that’s my only real issue with it. If you’re looking for a high quality wired headset for your PC this is definitely one to check out.

The good:
- Very comfy memory foam earpads and headband
- Does not clamp my head uncomfortably
- Haptics at medium settings are really fun! It adds a whole new level of immersion. High settings are too rumbly and sensitive to normal gameplay sounds
- The sound is very good. I use Dolby Access for the spatial audio, it's much better than the THX spatial audio in Synapse. I have THX off, bass boost off, sound normalization off, voice clarity off, and Dolby Access set to a custom profile with only the surround sound virtualization turned on, equalizer is set to a flat default. With these settings it has a really nice soundstage.
The bad:
- Construction is solid with exception of plastic parts at the bottom of the headband, I suspect the metal construction won't matter due to these
- Audio cable is non removable. This and the plastic bits tells me that while overall construction is premium materials, certain crucial parts are not designed to last.
- Audio cable is not your standard 3.5mm audio jack. It's a USB type A plug... An odd choice.
- The leatherette on the headband will definitely peel overtime. Once they do I'll feel pretty silly with premium aluminum construction, broken plastic connectors, and a peeling headband.
Overall, I think these are great for gaming and casual music sessions. Mic is clear and detachable as well, and they are very comfy for several hours of gaming. By the time they do wear out I will probably want the Kraken V4 or V5. These are not designed to last, if you want these to last 3+ years these are not for you.

Sometimes regular earphones just hurt, but this one helps with its cushions and breathability. The sound is crisp in my ears and limits outside noise, the mic also does the same which helps block off my chewing. The bass boost is a fun feature as I can enjoy the sounds of explosions, gun fire, and running echoing in the back of my head
