    Razer... what happened!?

Let's start off with this is just a PlayStation review. All this headset is a better version of the Nari ultimate but one of Razer's worst headsets. The surround sound is really good but hard to hear at times do to the over emphasis on bass and rumbling ear cups. The range is horrible and distorted at about 10 feet. Had to keep leaning forward to clean up the sound. The battery life was about 8-9 hours tops. The RGB isn't necessary for a $200 headset. In all the headset was extremely comfortable and easy to use but the connection issues and muddy sounds do to the rumbling head shaking bass just ruins this headset. The black shark V3 pro is way better and cheaper but it's got the same range problems. This is just a gimmick headset and not worth the $200 at all. Razer you can do way better and please fix your dongle range on all headsets please!? The black shark V3 pro was my favorite headset but not being able to sit on my couch and stay connected was the deal breaker (it's exactly 10ft away from my PlayStation).

    Do not buy this...

In short, DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET, here are the issues I've been having below: I have never had more issues with a headset than this one. I have renewed the warranty on this headset twice within a year. The first issues were with the connection. The Bluetooth connection is terrible, constantly disconnecting at random times. Plugging in the headset using the headphone jack can fix this issue but the cable that comes with the headset is fairly small and annoying. Anytime I would watch YouTube, the headset would shut off anytime a video ended. I thought at first this was my computer, resetting settings first and then a full reset, and after everything, I finally turned in the headset for a new one and have never had this issue after. After receiving the new one, the mic is already broken after a month. It just stopped working entirely. Discord and my computer settings are telling me the hardware mute button is constantly on. I am EXTREMELY careful with my computer and accessories, and do not believe this to be my fault. I have not dropped it or anything along those lines. The audio is pretty solid but I rarely use the synapse features and mess with any extreme settings so it could be better if you put the time and effort. The cool bass feature that comes with the headset is neat and is super fun for a while but I really only use it when I'm playing a game, and only use this feature when listening to music. I wouldn't recommend this headset for 30 dollars let alone over 100. You can find something better for cheaper easily.

    Just Wait

I wanted to love this headset. To be fair, the sound is good when it works, but there seems to be several issues that pop up with this headset, if you search for user reviews, and I experienced them all: The left ear cup's volume was never balanced and always quieter than the right. The volume never seemed to get that high, even at it's highest setting. The battery would never show up as being fully charged in the Synapse app, and the app itself crashed so often. And what hurt most of all, the Hypersense did't always work. When it did, it was great, but if I ever turned the setting off while the headset was on and then turned it on again, instead of a haptic rumble, I got a metallic clanging in the ear cups. It was distracting and horrible. Razer was great and even sent me a replacement within 5 days, but that headset didn't work either. The company obviously has some kinks to work out and until then, I would recommend waiting because when it works, it's amazing, but for $200, it should work out of the box.

Great sound, but the mic is lacking

    Posted .

The sound quality experience was very good. I really enjoyed the surround sound and vibration effects; made gaming really immersive. When wired or wireless, the sound maintained good quality as well. Unfortunately, I had issues with the mic. The only way anyone could hear me is if the mic was practically touching my lips, and even then I was very quiet. I tried messing with the app's settings to boost the audio, messing with Discord's audio settings, but it never got to a point where my audio sounded good. If I didn't need the microphone, I'd keep the headphones from the audio quality alone. Unfortunately, I need a headset that can do both, so I'll be returning this item.

Good Specs - Performance is lacking

The Razer Kraken V3 Pro wireless gaming headset is promising on paper but falls short of expectations. Included in the box is the headset itself, a USB-A “hyperspeed” wireless dongle, 3.5mm aux cable, USB-A to USB-C charging cable, instructions and stickers. Build quality is solid with memory foam cushions, a full headband cushion, and steel-reinforced headband. Externals are mostly plastic. Cushions and headband have a faux leather covering. Foam cushions are easily removeable and attachable. Headphones are adjustable with 8 detents. Physical controls on the headset include a volume wheel, power, and microphone mute button on the bottom-left side. Bottom-right of the headset houses the “hypersense button”. The hypersense button controls the level of haptic feedback (off, low, medium, high). I/O on the left side includes a USB-C charging port, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a keyed 3.5mm microphone jack. As you increase the volume with the physical volume wheel, the audio will become unbalanced with the right side louder than the left. At this price point, this issue should not be present. This is the only headset I have ever had this problem with. Sound cues of the “hypersense button” play seemingly random and without order. Haptic feedback Haptic feedback does not work when the headset is charging. Upon connection of the wireless dongle, software prompts you to install Razer Synapse and other optional software. Your PC will restart once with installation. Synapse software is well designed with volume, haptics, EQ, spacial sound, and RGB lighting control. THX Spacial Sound

    Don't buy for HyperSense capabilities

⚠️IMPORTANT⚠️ This headset does not have wireless capability on mobile or Xbox. I owned a Razer Kraken V3 before receiving the Razer Kraken Pro, so here are some differences between the two. Razer Kraken V3: Razer Kraken V3 Pro: HyperSense - ❌ HyperSense - ✔️ Chroma RGB - ✔️ Chroma RGB - ✔️ Wireless Capability - ❌ Wireless Capability - ✔️ Price - USD$99.99 Price - USD$200 If it has all the things that the regular V3 doesn't why is it 3 stars? Well, only days after receiving the headset, the "HyperSense" feature began to stop working properly. Every time it vibrates, the headset makes a sound like old springs, very creaky and annoying. I'd expect a longer lifespan from a $200 headset. Everything else works great for the most part. The Chroma RGB adds tons of customization options to keep your headset looking flashy. The spatial audio is probably the best I've ever heard, a few times I even found myself looking for where a noise was coming from only to realize it was from the headset. The wireless function works great, and there is no noticeable latency. The microphone is super crisp and clear, and you can adjust the microphone (and audio) settings using the Razer Synapse app. This headset can use 3.5mm audio cords, unlike the wired versions of the V3, which only use USB-A. Overall: Buy if you want a high-quality wireless headset, but don't expect to use the HyperSense feature too often.

    Great Headset

These are probably one of the best headsets out there. I know the other reviews are saying that these suck because they rumble too much it literlly has a setting that can change the rumble. Another review said that its not wirless for the Xbox. Razer announced its only wirless for ps4, ps5, and PC should have done your research. Once you find the right setting for each game that you play you will forget that you are just playing videogames

Great sound qualty, poor build quality

I love this headset, the sound top notch and the battery life typically gets me through most sessions. Only complaint is the joint on the right side snapped a little over a year into owning the item, and thats with me taking really good care of them. If you chose to go with this product, be sure to get extended coverage because your $200 investment into the product with be lost a year into owning it.

One of the worst headsets ive ever had. Started off with litttle bugs nothing i couldnt ignore but as the weeks went by the headset got worse. Disconnecting on its own when charged , Not connecting to the pc at all after disconnecting usb and reconnecting multiple times, constant mic problems with people not being able to hear me when unmuted, the list goes on and on. This headset is horrible i wouldnt take it if it were free
