What was Razer thinking...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I will try to keep it short and to the point. My experience with Razer man o war...... very good quality wireless system they never lost connection and sounded Great! However, that is the only positive thing about them. they are very poorly constructed, after the first 3 days of use the top head pad broke off, the top pad is only attached by 2 very small plastic pins.... very fragile. after the pad pins broke off the hard plastic frame dug painfully on top of your head, the the over the ear padding was sub par, once your ears were inside them they smashed your ears inside the cup and OUCH... 10 mins and I had them off. these are poorly constructed, they need a better constructed head pad. they do sound very very well! A+++ I love Razer products but these do not stand up to normal wear and tear. the feel very loose and if they flex the top pad WILL break off!! come on Razer, what were you thinking? also If you have a large Mellon then do not get these, they are not made for larger heads. or ppl with big ears. very painful! PLEASE PLEASE RAZER fix this . you have a great product at 160$ I expect better quality construction!

Sounds Great, Great Battery, Design Flaw
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I upgraded to this headset from a Logitech G930, which I will use as a frame of reference for this review. I used the G930 for over two years and was very impressed with it's construction. It was comfortable out of the box, had good sound, and had decent battery life. However, the reception and drivers were hit and miss. In comparison, the Manowar was bit uncomfortable out of the box (too tight) and took some getting used to. The drivers, battery life, and sound have all surpassed G930. The G930 would lose connection frequently; the Manowar has never dropped a connection. The battery life is nearly 2x the G930. The sound is noticably better with deeper bass and all around depth of sound. However, the one serious flaw in the Manowar is the construction of the headband. The pad on the headband is held on by a flimsy piece of thin plastic that has broken twice on me. Granted I have a big head, but this should not be the case. I would remove two stars from the ratings for this, but like I said I have a big head :) Everything else about this headset beats the G930. I was so happy to replace the shoddy Logitech drivers. I've actually fully converted my keyboard, mouse, and headset to Razer products and I've banned Logitech drivers from my system. I'm happy with my choices, but I'll need to engineer something to fix the Razer bad headband design. Unless you have a small head, this thing is going to break. Other reviews support this.

Could not use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a gaming headset that could be used for voice commands. This set has comfortable ear-cups. Unfortunately it could not be used for voice commands which made it unusable for me. I returned this headset.

Above and beyond my expectations
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple and easy setup. Very comfortable even with glasses. The sound from them is utterly amazing. You can honestly hear from what direction the sound is coming from with the 7.1 surround. The bass off these headsets is great. After registering I also received Razer surround Pro for analog headsets free. In the price range... This is hard headset to beat.

Best I've owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.By far the best headset I've owned. I was dumb and tried to "Upgrade" to the Nari Ultimate and I should've kept the Man O Wars.

The best in it's price range, by far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The good about the headset: design is super sleek and amazingly comfortable. Materials are light, well fitted, and the chroma design pairs perfectly with Razer's other accessories. I watched a linustechtips review about this before buying it and I gotta say, he got something wrong. He pointed out the hallow feel, and the fact they squeak when easily maneuvered. The squeak goes away very fast, and they feel solidly built. The battery also (advertised as 1 week, or 14 hours) stands true. The bad about this headset: I believe that when the mic is fully pushed in, it should automatically mute itself. The ear cuffs do touch your ears, but still go around them, so be aware of that. You get used to it though. The ear cuffs also do get a little warm after multiple hours, something I think could be solved with maybe an addition of switchable cloth cuffs. Bought this, along with the firefly, blackwidow chroma stealth, and the Mamba TE. In combination they are all absolutely beautiful. You can sync them all up so their LEDs react together, or separate for situational use. The program you use to do all this (Razer's Synapse) is super easy to use, has downloaded developer additions, and helps save profiles usable across multiple games, and computers. Razer's other additions of software (such as comms, arena, and cortex) also help increase your game time and play immensely. Their company truly is for gamers, by gamers.

Comfortable for a while
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this headset because I wanted a wireless headset to game on. They feel comfortable and do last a couple of hours, however the battery life is rather short. 7 hours goes by incredibly fast and it feels like it takes much longer to charge. The mic controls are ok, but are a bit awkward at times and you can accidentally un-mute yourself when you turn you head and you brush against the mic wheel. The last issue I have with it is the cushion in the band. After a few weeks of use, it snapped out of the headset and now the headset gets uncomfortable due to the plastic clips that held the cushion in rubbing against my head. Pros: sound quality, comfortable Cons: odd battery life, head cushion breaks out to easily

RAZER MANOWAR
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones have great sound. I use them for gaming online. They have a great connection, no breakage in connection. I walk through my home while using them and continue to chat with friends. Mic quality is above average. Cons are they are creaky when they move, and a little tight around the ears. However, I have only had them for 3 days so I hope they will break in more.

Sounds Great and Reliable, Simple too
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first bought these and a few years after, this headset was amazing! The sound quality was good and the mic was decent. Using a USB received made it easy to swap between PS4 and PC when I used it. Eventually, it fell off my underside desk mounted hanger a few too many times and a piece of plastic inside the right earcup broke. Due to the location of the plastic, I would've had to pop it open. According to google, these aren't able to be opened and resealed since they seal the cups I believe either with a vacuum or even fill them with a specific gas thats lighter than air to assist with sound quality, so eventually I sold these and a different pair of Razer headphones on FB marketplace for a cheap deal. Took one star off for the durability but honestly it lasted a long time. It is pretty bulky though.

Highly disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from the corsair vengeance 2100 to this razer headset. I thought that hey, I already have a keyboard and mouse by razer, why not complete the package? I regretted it. Perhaps it is because the vengeance was simply better than the manowar or this headset under performed, maybe I got a faulty model who knows. Here are the issues, I'll be simple - You are FORCED to use the synapse software for this headset - The software poorly(If at all) explains the different features and options of the headset - ***THE VOLUME IS FLUCTUANT*** This is my biggest issue, if you set all programs volumes to the same, they will not be the same volume. I noticed my skype was very low, my browser volume was medium and my game volume was extremely high. I never had to mess around with individual volumes in the volume mixer until now, and frankly, for the price this headset goes for, I shouldn't have to. - It isn't as comfortable as people are saying. I love the soft leather cups, trust me I do. But the padding on top is non existent! It is the thinnest piece of padding I have ever seen on a headset. Eventually you will feel the plastic engraving into your skull. - It's huge, maybe this is a personal issue, but I believe I have a pretty large head. So to the younger audience considering purchasing this, you're gonna have a tough time. - The mic has a mind of its own! Trust me on this the mic is great, my friends have told me I sound a little better than before. But if you stop talking for about... 5 minuites, the mic automatically boosts your background noise. I can't even count how many times My friends were like "Woah woah woah! Dude your background noise wth!?!?" After messing around with synapse nothing solved this, I guess the mic does what it wants. - Button placement. The things like the mic volume, headset volume and charge port are all placed awkwardly. Having to reach behind the headset to mute the mic is tedious and definitely takes much longer than when I could just flip the mic up on the vengeance. I wouldn't be too surprised if that mute button doesn't last too long either. In conclusion, I thought I could finish my razer setup with a nice razer wireless headset, but I was disappointed. Perhaps it is because I downgraded headsets but thats besides the point. I will be returning this headset and perhaps picking up logitechs wireless headset instead, all I know for sure is that this product is not worth its price.

Good Audio. Awful build quality.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these headphones 6 months ago, and the first few months were great. They have good bass, crisp audio, the mic comes in clear, they sit on the head comfortably, though they felt a bit flimsy and cheap, they worked fine so that was no problem. But, about 5 months in, the two panels on each side of the headphones that keep the size retractor and inner workings together, both fell apart. Now the headphones fall off of the head, the size retractor sloops all the way down, making the earmuffs sit on your neck. They're now absolutely unwearable. I've tried doing a little tinkering with these but to no avail. I even started using tape to keep them in place, but they just come more and more unloose with time. I'm extremely disappointed with the quality, I won't be buying from Razer again.

Head Band Issues - AVOID!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This headset is wonderful when it comes to audio quality/mic quality and its battery life. It pains me having to get it such a low review, but this headset has a critical design flaw. The ear cups have a nice leatherette type material that is very comfortable, however the rest of the headset it made of rigid plastic. The comfort is nice for the first hour of play time. After that, it begins to become very obvious that the headset is hitting several pressure points. Since its made of plastic, the pressure points of where the headband rests on your head, push the band at several weird angles and due to the fact that the head band is not one solid piece of plastic, but in fact 3 pieces joined together by two small bridge type connectors, they snap entirely off. When this happens, your headset is pretty much impossible to use. This happened to me not once, but twice! On two separate pairs! (Which the GSP protection saved my butt on.) It kills me to see the build quality so low on such an expensive pair of headphones, and if I had to go through Razers notoriously bad customer service to get this fixed, I would have been a very unhappy camper. If they just made the headset cost maybe $40 more to off set the additional cost to make the headset out of aluminum or some other metal, these would have been the perfect pair of gaming headphones. However, given the build quality I have to urge anyone interested in buying these to PASS! I will be swapping my current pair out under Geek Squad Protection once again, and replacing them with the new Arctis 7's from Steel Series.

Average Wireless Headset
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I replaced my pair of wired Astro A40 headsets after the microphone quality seemed to just sound abysmal. It was simply an excuse to get something new. Just as a preface. I mainly game on computer but also play the occasional game on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The Razer Man o' War is very large. I have a relatively medium sized head and on my ears the headset just seems to squish down. While there is a lot of padding around the ear cups it presses against the ears quite firmly and over time hurts to wear for too long. Readjusting the headset a little bit helps and then I can wear them for another half hour or so before that position hurts. I know a lot of people have said that the headset is very comfortable but I think it's different for everyone. The sound is okay. Not as impressive as plugging in my Bose QC 25 into a DAC. And not nearly as comfortable. Keep in mind I wear glasses when I look at a computer screen so it might have something to do with that. The microphone is okay. A lot of my friends have told me I sound muffled and that it's not as clear as some other headsets I've had. It does the trick. It's not that impressive but if you don't have too many funds and you just want to communicate with your buds through a computer it does the trick. The features through Razer Synapse are nice, I was never able to get the sound adjustment to work. Razer says you can adjust other sources and make some louder and other quieter, Even though I moved the dials up and down I was never able to get it to work properly. The wireless works pretty well, I have yet to experience any interruption and I like the fact that I can now walk around with a headset on. The range does seem a little fickle. I stepped away and anything past 10 feet can kind of start killing the signal. Overall Razer has made a pretty decent headset, for the price it's a pretty good wireless headset with decent sound and a half decent microphone. The comfort level doesn't suit me very well but that doesn't mean it won't work for you. The wireless isn't too shabby and is the key feature of this headset. Final Word: Try to wear them before you purchase.

Feels cheap
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My main problem with these is the build. They feel cheap... like dollar store cheap. Plastic and creeks everywhere. The top cushion on the headband looks super easy to break off. The Logitech G933/G33 are all plastic too but they feel solid. I would have much rather paid a little extra (or get rid of that rgb lighting) for a better built headset. As far as comfort goes I absolutely love the earpads. Super super comfy but sadly they aren't deep enough as my ears touch the inside. They stay on pretty good but the headband doesn't have as much cushion as I would have liked. I wouldn't say it made my head sore but I always knew it was there if that makes sense. My ears got warm but not too sweaty. Also this is made for big heads (thank you!), so if you're a kid this might not work. So how do they sound? Out of the box not all that special. To me it's missing mids and especially highs, but once you EQ them, they sound great! I really love the mic controls. You can set how sensitive to background noise they are and have several other settings to help out there. The frequency response and noise cancellation of the mic is wonderful and you can turn up the gain a lot! But sadly the actual quality of the mic isn't all that spectacular, like it sounds really compressed. Compared to the Logitech G930 the sound and mic quality of this is more than double which is about what you're paying.

Nice wireless headset but..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a fairly hardcore supporter of Razer products. It is a great headset but it has a few things that annoyed me and those things are why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5. - No charging dock. - Recoil Mic boom is a nice feature but rattled and felt weak and moved around. - Over ear headset but the speaker pad (inner part) presses against ear.
