I've been using these for awhile now and they sound great! Not an issue to date. Battery life is good even using them at higher volume with the microphone. The sound is crisp and clear, along with clarity for others hearing me through the microphone. The cups can also sync with your Synapse profile and change colors as you decide.

This is so good that I can't even explain it. It literally shacks and you feel the bass! I have tried so many $250-$350 headsets and this beats them all by far. The sound if very clear and you can turn on or off the bass shacking if you don't like it. It will make you fall in love with your music and games again. Warning you have to use the Razer app to get the features like the bass shacking and lights and other stuff.

sound and effects in games are fabulous. vibrations and such really add to the experience. To play games on PC I am using the USB connection. XBOX X paired without issues with integrated dongle

The mic is okay once you mess with the options, but my god the haptic feedback is absolutely fantastic. Rumbles your head. Perfect for horror games, or anything with environmental changes. Love the headset.

First thing. Sound preference is subjective to the listener. With that being said I have had too many headsets to remember. I wont say these are the best ever but the trade off is the haptic feedback. For me its worth a little less sound fidelity for this effect. This truly shined in games like Battlefield V. To feel the explosions and pops made the purchase worth it for me. The battery life is ok. I don't turn on the chroma lighting. Seems silly to have it since you cant see it. Razer synapse 3 can be finicky at times but the sound software does a very good job of simulating surround. The headset is very comfortable and I like the cooling gel in the ear pads. Helps during longer game time. The one con I have and this actually goes for every razer headset Ive owned. They all seem to have a "muffled" sound to them. Like when you talk with your hand over your mouth. I have minimalized this by adjusting the EQ. The presets all had this muffled sound to them. Perfect sound....no but with the Haptic feedback and almost perfect sound these are 9.7 out of 10 for me. I just threw my 2-month-old Alienware Aw988's back in the drawer which are extremely good sounding cans. I should also mention this is a review based on PC use. Have not tried them on my PS4 or Xbox one X yet.

Not the ultimate experience youre looking for

I gotta say i was excited for these so its that much more disappointing that they are trash in nearly every way. Lets start with the microphone. It's completely un-usable for a few reasons, its the lowest quality mic I have ever used, even very cheap webcam microphones 15 years ago were better. The sound quality of this headset is the worst of any headset I have ever used including earbuds of all brands, its incredibly distorted, immersion breaking sound lag constantly. out of the box the eq settings are horrendous and sound like you have earplugs in, none of the enhancements and worth using as they will make the sound quality worse and more distorted, same goes for the mic enhancements and the sidetone is nearly non-existent. besides the poor quality sound and microphone you will suffer no end of technical issues with them. Razer Synapse 3 is the worst piece of software that has ever existed, it crashes every minute and takes 5 minutes to start up, a lot of the time it just doesnt work, settings you change will not change, switching profiles will freeze the program very often. Sometimes the charging cable wont work, sometimes the headset wont turn on, sometimes the mic wont mute or un-mute. Turning up the sound quality in the sound control panel will actually make some programs crash on startup. The battery life is not great but not the worst, they are fairly comfortable although you cannot adjust them and that can be a pain sometimes. I found the fully plastic build of the Nari ultimate to be sub-par for the price. Overall I cant recommend enough that you stay away from these headsets and any razer headset/product in general absolutely the worst experience I have had with a computer peripheral and reviews online mostly share a similar consensus, dont be like me and make sure you do your research before purchase.

    Most comfortable headset I’ve owned!

I got these when my G933’s died out and I am glad I did. They are extremely comfortable and conforming to your head, and the hypersense, while gimmicky, is super cool and a great new feature to see. In games with good bass it can become super immersive.

had these for about 3 years and about to buy again after breaking them myself at no fault to the headset. the best headset i have ever owned by far. having all the controls for the headset right at my finger tips is so nice as some games id rather be talking to my friends then hearing my game. being able to adjust that right from the headset is such a key and the sound quality and fit is still superb for being a 4 year old headset.

Razer Nari Ultimate Output is great, input is ick.

I've always purchased Razer gear for my gaming essentials. This headset was a purchase to upgrade from my Razer Nari Essential. I am happy to say the quality of sound was an increase, the haptic technology is an absolute blast for movies, music, and shooter games. However the downside I found for this headset, the Microphone. The Microphone that is on this headset does not do justice for the quality nor the pricetag on the Ultimate. It sounds trashy, feels trashy, and the unidirectional pickup is mediocre at best. If they would have kept the microphone similar to the Nari Essential this would be the best headset in the world, easily.

    Good Build Poor Battery

The headset is a good quality build. You can customize the audio presets and rgb lighting with the Razer software. The reason why I'm giving the headphones a low score is because the battery life is very short. When having free time its always nice to have something that will last the who time, and this headset simply can't do that/

    Decent sound. Bad mic.

Bought this looking for a good surround sound headset with a decent mic. First of all the mic is a real let down, it pics up the sound from the headset so anyone you are playing with will hear everything going on in your game. Sound is fairly decent, although its hard to find a good balance between chat and game sounds, I am constantly having to adjust. Its comfortable enough to wear for extended periods. Battery life is decent at 5-6 hours. Overall decent but there are definately better options for the price.

Lets get straight to it. The software is broken making these infuriating to try to use. It constantly disconnects and reconnects even after reinstalling software, updating audio drivers, using different usb ports and all. Dont get me wrong the headphones themselves are great. I absolutely love the sound after some tweaking of the EQ in the synapse software and they never felt uncomfortable once. The haptic feedback is a bit gimmicky but I never felt so great while playing through doom or so scared during survival horror games. I love it. Ive owned these for about 7 months now and at first they were a little annoying, the connection for the most part stayed stable. Now though from the moment I pull them from the charger they begin to beep at 10 to 30 second intervals, cutting out audio in the process. The software shows them reconnecting but its never been truly stable. Really wish I could use these forever but gaming tonight I broke. For 30 seconds straight I had the reconnect beeping before my computer actually crashed. Not sure if related or coincidence but unless the software and connection are fixed these will sit on the shelf and gather dust.

    Why I returned this Headset

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

1st off Im a huge Razer fan. Have had keyboards, mice, and even Razerblade laptop. After watching reviews online and reading about the new Hypersense tech these headphones features I HAD to try them out. All I have to say is wow. Especially in a shooter like call or duty black ops 4 online, just pulls you in and immerses you in a whole new level you didnt think was possible. Great sound quality and it feels like you have subs strapped to your head and you feel like your there. Again hard to explain but you will have to try them honestly to see for your self. Now on to why I returned them. 1st issue: Size is way to big and the tension just isnt there to keep them in place. If you lean forward they will slide off and Im sure the heavy weight has a little to do with that. Oh and I have a big head so I could understand on a small head but no reason why this should happen. 2nd issue: Wireless kept disconnecting. I have no router on my laptop and I am not using WiFi. Tried switching USB ports etc kept beeping consistently throughout my gaming session for days and this was the final reason and main reason I returned them. 1 Final Other reason is Volume this is minor but I had had other headsets where I could never max them out or get close. This one I could max out and just felt it wasnt quite loud enough. Wanted to share my thoughts & honestly would have kept this headset if not for the constant disconnects. I ended up switching out at best buy to G935 Logitech and Surround sound is best I have ever heard but this Hypersense Technology has left a huge void and hole. I am now ruined thanks razer. Hopeful down the road they will fix issues or maybe you wont have the same wireless issues I had.

    horrible headset

these headphones SUCK!! my husband has them and although the audio quality is ok, the echo is horrible!!!! i can hear everything he's doing including the music he's listening to, game sounds, typing etc which i don't mind but overtime it gets super annoying. these headphones would only be good if you bought a mic along with it because the mic on the headset picks up everything even with sound suppression, but that means spending even more money and some people are on a budget. it also dies quick which shouldn't be happening as it was a new headset!!! sometimes it doesn't even pick up what he's saying. we tried everything to fix the echoing but gave up at the end, so don't buy these if you want a good quality headset .

I bought this product because it was on sale for half the price. I was excited at first because it's a nice looking headset and the quality seems good. However you can't adjust it if you have a small head and after playing a couple hours this things gets real uncomfortable. That sucks for a product that is originally $200.

This headset was very easy to use on whatever device you're going to use it for since it can used in wirelessly and wired. One thing to note is you'll need to adjust the volume so it won't be to loud on whatever device you'll use.
