    PS4 advice with Haptic Feedback

Got this on Black Friday, and loving it!! I switch between my PS4 and PC for these headphones. Now I will warn when I first got them I plugged them into my PS4 to play COD Warfare. The vibration was really intense from the haptic feedback, and within the hour I got a headache. I was really concerned that I would have to return them. I did some research and found that if you download Synapse 3 on your PC you can have more control over the headset. However, when you unplug it from the PC, and back into the PS4, the settings don't carry over. They turn dumb for the PS4, HOWEVER, two setting controls carry over (that I have figured out through testing), the haptic feedback, and the sidetone. If you bought this for the PS4 and having the same issue I had with the vibration you can change the settings of the Haptic feedback on your PC and it will carry over!! I still wanted the haptic feedback, just turned down the intensity to 20-30 instead of the 50 it was set at. Now they complement the game, instead of booming and taking over the volume while shaking my head. Once I did that, I fell in love with the headphones and decided to keep them. It is a bummer that all the customization is for PC (which I will also be using them for), but thought it well worth it. Do with that information what you will when purchasing these headphones.

    Not worth The Price Tag

HEADPHONES SNAP. THE HEADPHONES WERE NEVER DROPPED, STRETCHED, AND WERE ADULT-OWNED, so disappointed considering I spent so much. I have several razor products and I think I'm going to try to be loyal to another brand. I had to go back to old 20-buck headphones from Logitech, they still look new after using for 2 years.

DO NOT BUY! Synapse 3 is a BETA and it breaks PC's

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The software, Razer Synapse 3, is only available in BETA currently. A BETA that for some will break Windows registry so badly the only way to fix it is to re-install Windows. I contacted their support because it wouldn't even run after install, and then it would fail uninstall and repair re-install attempts. DO NOT BUY THIS UNFINISHED PRODUCT. Razer's support team had zero care in the world that I had to now re-install Windows and just repeatedly asked that I send them system info so they could fix it. I work in software QA and this is all of the stuff we do on our internal test systems to make sure customers don't have to go through this. There is nothing on the box, nothing on the website, stating the software is not fully finished and no other alternatives are available, which is false advertising if you ask me. Every other company out there that does public BETA's does so with a full stable and tested version available and you have to elect to give feedback and use the BETA version as they are usually unstable and very buggy. When you first plug in the headset the install software just comes up and you start installing, it is not stated anywhere that what you are installing is a beta until you hit okay, and it is already in progress that the header on the the install status page says BETA.

    Not worth the money, honestly

The sound is great. It is excellent for hearing where enemies are and there is never a loss of quality. The memory foam leatherette ear cushions are literally amazing. The only things that absolutely suck about this headset is the mic and the volume. For one, the mic is good, but it has A LOT of echo. My friends tell me that they can literally hear everything in my headset, even if I turn it almost all the way down. It is the most annoying thing, and shouldn’t happen on a $200 headset. The second thing is the volume output. If you scroll the wheel to a certain level, you can’t hear out of the left earphone. You can only hear out of the right. This is absolutely ridiculous and shouldn’t be happening on a $200 headset. Overall, this headset could’ve been the best headset on the market, but the two cons are unfortunately the worst things that could happen to a headset. You shouldn’t buy this for $200. Other razer headsets might be better. Not to mention the horrible razer synapse software. There were so many problems when I first started to use it. It’s alright now.

Missing very obvious features for the price

This headset has a decent mic and looks durable but it’s missing two features that make it absolutely terrible. The headband isn’t adjustable like every other headset on the planet and the speakers are not noise canceling just the mic. You would be much better off purchasing the Logitech G935 because you will get an excellent quality headset with an adjustable headband and noise canceling speakers for less money.

These headphones are very comfortable, even after hours of continuous use. the sound is awesome, the vibrational feedback is weird to get used to at first but I've grown to like it a lot! I would definitely recommend these headphones.

    Bad Echo

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The sound form the headphone is picked up by the microphone, causing an echo when teammates talk. I need to adjust my volume to a high or low to make sure it doesn't cause an echo. My guess is that the microphone deteriorated and became more sensitive to sound. This was used on PC

This headset is good in theory, but fails to deliver on many levels. I will start by saying that this headset completely died on my 4th day of using it. Fourth. Day. When I contacted Razer, they told me to "Deal with BestBuy", like it's their fault they got sent this garbage. For the short time it did work, the sound quality was middle-of-the-road at best and certainly not what you would expect from a $200 headset. The haptic feedback is gimmicky and not worth the money to have your ears tingle a little. It actually decreases the quality of the sound and the already poor bass performance. Completely disappointed. I will be getting my refund and looking elsewhere. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Great Sound....... BUT the range for the wireless absolutely SUCKKKKSSS u can have the USB on the desk two feet from you and the headset will beep saying your out of range and forget walking away from your desk, you might as well have a corded headset than this. and console user beware you have the worse echo unless you want to not hear your game at all. i paid $99 for this product and see now why its on sale. TRASH waste of money. i would spend max $50 for this headset

    Subpar for the price

The vibration of the headphones is really cool and comfort is great but that’s about as far as it goes. For this price I would expect good quality sound. That is not the case with these headphones. I’ve used a ton of headphones from price points ranging from $20 to $800. The lows are good but the mids are completely washed out and the treble is very subpar. It sounds almost like your listening from a coke can. If you play a bunch of solo games then it’s not too bad but if you play any kind of comp you won’t hear the other team until they are on top of you. I think a fair price for these would be around $65. You are purely paying for the gimmick of vibrating headphones. You could spend a few more bucks and get the Astro A50’s if you are set on wireless these would be one of the best you can get at the $250 range or get the A40’s with mixamp for wired and you’ve got another awesome tuneable headset.
