It’s not a bad headset. It really isn’t. But the built in mic has a really crappy audio codec. Sounds like you are in a microwave. Which isn’t normally an issue because because I use a blue yeti anyway but the headset mic attempted to default itself to the default recording device even though I had disabled it multiple time. After Re installing all of the drivers for it and doing a fresh install it stopped.

I am a freelance computer tech so i know my stuff. I would not ha a bought this set if i read any of the reviews saying the mic is substandard and in my case dis bit even work. This is a great headset dorr gaming and listening to music but if you want the mic to work forget it!

at the time i bought these i was gaming mostly single player games. A few months later when i began multiplayer games everyone kept complaining about my mic and how they can hear themselves through it. these headphones were bleeding sound into the mic a little something horrible. if your going to play online which i imagine you will or else why would u need a mic, i do not reccommend these. i wish i would have known earlier and i would have been able to pick up a blackshark which are said not to have sound bleed issues. now im stuck annoying anyone i play online with or am constantly getting muted...

So.. I honestly didn't think I'd like the haptic feedback feature on this and would likely end up turning it off. I mainly purchased this because it was a $200.00 headset marked down to $115 bucks, it matches many of my other Razer products, and my Turtle Beach headset stopped working randomly while gaming.
The first time I tried this was at the start of a new game for Ghost Recon Wild lands -- where your character is flying into Bolivia in a black hawk helicopter in the dead of night, during the rain, talking to the CIA contact.
Between the base and the slight haptics that seemed to function with the sound as opposed to being a huge distraction like i initially thought it would be, we are talking goosebump inducing levels of immersion.
This is a fantastic idea that you never thought you needed.
Take my word for it - try it. It's $100 off right now - that's a steal.

Pro- Charge lasts about 8 hours. LARGE range in customizing sound.
Con- Died after 6 months (sound would phase in an out). Would lose wireless connection almost every time the computer was shut down. Too Heavy.

Haptic audio effect is pretty awesome. It does come with 3.5mm cable, if preferred over wireless connection.

Quality was good and the haptics were amazing but not good for games like call of duty war zone. Did not pick up sounds of movement very well so I ended up going with the Astro a40. They picked up the sounds of feet shuffling better. I will miss the built in RGB that these had though. Went well with all my computer and desk lights. I think I would have Kept them if I didn’t play war zone so much.

The best headphones out there that I am aware of. Worth the money due to the sound quality and ease of use. Gaming is so immersive when hearing certain sounds from right to left sides so you can play more effectively on identifying targets in FPS games.

The sound quality and construction of the headset is great, however the microphone quality is worse than cell phone quality! All of my friends that I voice chat to say I sound awful now. I've done the troubleshooting steps listed by Razor but many other people have experienced the same problem. It's just a very bad quality mic and software can't fix that.
