I hated the Wolverine and I truely enjoy this controller! Of course this isn't for everyone some prefer bluetooth wireless over programmable buttons. For me those shoulder programmble are sublime since the PS4's original Raiju controller. Only down side for me is the lack of programming the buttons without the need for the app.

Purchased because I loved the Wolverine V3 and wanted the same experience on a PS5 pad. Absolutely love the controller, excellent stick response and really enjoy the feel in hand.

The Good: - Build quality is excellent. It feels solid and premium in hand without being bulky, with tight tolerances and high-quality materials throughout. - Surprisingly lightweight for a “pro” controller, which really helps during long gaming sessions and competitive play. - Responsiveness is outstanding. The TMR thumbsticks feel precise and smooth, with excellent centering and no noticeable latency in my testing. - Battery life has been very reliable — I can get multiple long sessions in before needing to recharge. - The included case is a nice touch and actually useful, especially if you travel or swap setups between PS5 and PC. - Customization is deep and flexible. Remappable buttons, trigger adjustments, and profiles let you tailor the controller exactly to your playstyle. - Application support is strong and intuitive, making it easy to dial in settings without feeling overwhelming. The Bad: - Nothing of note. For what this controller is designed to do, it delivers exactly as expected. Misc: - Important to note: there is no haptic feedback, rumble, or vibration. This is a deliberate design choice, prioritizing lightweight feel and raw responsiveness — and it executes that focus extremely well. Overall:
The Raiju V3 Pro is a purpose-built, performance-first controller that nails precision, comfort, and customization. It’s an easy 5 star rating for what it’s intended to be, unless the missing haptics/gyro is important, then it could be a dealbreaker. Those in the market for this controller will appreciate what it is and what it is not.

The Razer - Raiju V3 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller with TMR Thumbsticks and Remappable Buttons for PS5 and PC – Black is impressive as soon as I took it out of its protective carrying case and put it in my hands. Even though it has a lighter than usual weight, I immediately could feel its solid built quality. It has longer textured plastic claw grip handles that enhance my grip. I feel it is made to give advantages competitively to serious gamers. It’s quick and responsive and I need to get used to the thumbsticks for precise control over my movement and aim. It comes with a USB dongle, a USB-C charging cable, two additional styles of thumbsticks, four removable mouse click back buttons, four back button covers, and a screwdriver for swapping those out. If you don’t want a specific button or all of them, you can even remove them and replace them with blanking plates. Operation is lightning fast with the 2.4GHz wireless via the dongle and with the included wired mode on PC. I find better than usual battery life to have more time continually gaming. I have the Razer Synapse software to access settings and make digital changes, on the PC and in the form of a mobile app for the Razer Controller, if I want to do something similar on console. The Razer - Raiju V3 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller with TMR Thumbsticks and Remappable Buttons for PS5 and PC - Black is an impressively customizable controller that helps me take my skill level to a higher plane, with all of its great functions included.

Even though I have not use controllers when I am gaming on my PC (despite having some that I could use around), I decided that it was maybe finally time to look into getting one to make a few of my games a little easier. After noticing the Raiju V3 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller and its design (and also being very familiar with the Razer brand and their quality), I felt like this was the right one to go with. When to comes to using controllers, I will have to admit that I am used to ones for a different gaming console than PS5. Even though it did take a little while to get used to the left side (D-Pad and Left thumbstick locations), it actually started feeling a little more natural than the other layout. Right out of the box, the Razer's quality detail stands out. Just the hard-shell case is very nice! The outside has a nice microfiber covering, and inside, the controller is protected perfectly. There is a mesh pouch on the top shell that has a larger main section, and also a smaller additional pouch inside along the shell. The bottom shell has storage for two thumbstick caps when not in use (more on that next) as well as the USB Dongle. The overall design and feel of the controller seems just right to me. The one I got is all black with NO LED lighting (which is perfect as I have no desire to have every single - or any - PC component lit up). There is just enough texture on the grips to keep it from feeling slippery. It has just the right weight so my hands don't get tired of holding it for longer periods of time (lighter as it doesn't have the haptic feedback motors, which I really don't need to know all the time that I was just shot). And like with most 3rd party controllers, it has 4 additional mini-trigger style buttons on the back of the grip closer to the fingertips (which are programmable through the Synapse app). But it also has a couple of extra buttons near the front trigger buttons. For the 4 in the back, if they are not going to be used (which is likely true for myself), they can actually be physically removed (using the included small screwdriver) and some small replacement panels that have been included can be put into those places. Although the originally installed concave thumbstick caps work for me, it also comes with a taller concave cap, and a regular height rounded-top cap. The replacement can be a little tricky, unless you are in a very well-lit room or have a flashlight, as it only fits on one way, with the three "teeth" in the cap aligning to the left, top, and right. The trigger buttons had a few different adjustments that can be made. In the Synapse app, they can be changed between Analog (with full range of motion tracked) and Digital, where the actuation point can be set so it can be triggered as quickly as desired. Then, there is a sliding switch on the back on the controller that makes the range of motion very minimal for quick triggering with a faster hard-stop. The D-Pad is a one big "button" that allows for 8-way activation. However, in the Synapse app, it can be switched between 8-way and 4-way as desired. For PC connectivity, it can be connected using the 2.4Ghz USB dongle, or in wired mode (with a switch on the back of the controller to select it). For wireless, it can run at 250Hz polling rate, or can be switched to 500Hz, but it warns it can use more battery. In wired mode, the polling rate is 2,000Hz (which I guess isn't too bad). Also, the top-front of the controller can be used as a touchpad to control the mouse cursor, which is a handy feature to not need to reach up for the mouse when needed, although it doesn't move the cursor very much at a time (at least with my QHD display). Also, the Synapse app does have to be upgraded to V4.0, if it hasn't been done yet (which it had been a little while for me, so I did need to upgrade). Just as note, they have split out the Chroma LED setting portion into its own separate app, which will need to be installed as well if you have any other Razer items with LED lighting. Getting into the gameplay with it, this has been really good so far (once I got used to using it). It is very responsive, nicely precise, and location of the different buttons makes it a bit easier than using a keyboard in certain aspects. There are a few settings in the Synapse app that I can eventually take some time to play around with and make things even better for me (as long as I can fight my son off so he doesn't permanently borrow it from me). Whether you are very serious about gaming, or just a causal “play when you I chance” player (such as myself), this controller is definitely one to be on the consideration list!
