Excellent pro-level controller, easy customization

Flawless controls with additional inputs I never knew I needed but now love so much! 6 programmable buttons offer expert level control and the whole thing is fully customizable with Razer Synapse software for PC or the intuitive phone app. The 4 four back buttons can be completely removed if they interfere with your grip or style of play, but I find them to be wonderful addons for enhanced control and customization. This controller easily connects wirelessly or with usb3 cable to either PC or PS5. The ultra-low-latency 2.4 GHz HyperSpeed wireless connection offers incredibly fast responses for zero lag controls that keep my movements swift and accurate through gameplay. The simple but speedy wired connection offers another level of instantaneous response, paired with the ability to play on even if I forget to charge the controller between sessions. This controller utilizes anti-drift tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) thumbsticks to help reduce stick drift and keep precision at its peak and help maintain focus on the target. These really help for precision moments like when aiming down sight or racing. The extra 6 programmable buttons are a clutch advantage for many scenarios, allowing full programming to do whatever you want and the remaining controller layout mimics that of the standard dualsence controller but with much more customization potential. As for use and play, I really like the grip and feel of this controller in my hands. It has slightly rubberized palms and otherwise smooth finish. I love the tactile and audible clicks of the controller’s buttons to let me hear and feel my actions. Controller comes with a very classy looking, protective carrying case to keep it safe on the move or traveling. Included storage in the carrying case keeps track of the extra thumbstick caps (convex and concave to match your preference), a screwdriver for removing the extra back buttons if you choose, and a 2 meter usb cable for charging or wired connections. I also love that this controller transitions seamlessly from PS5 to PC and back again easily, this allows me to play on either platform and switch back and form whenever I want. Overall, a very nice controller and great addition to my PS5, definitely a notch above the basic dualsense.

Pricey but packed with lots of goodness

Some of the consoles come with basic controllers that get the job done but lack full customization capability. On the PC gaming front I typically just use keyboard and mouse but there are some games that really are better suited for an alternative input device, such as joystick, wheel/pedal or a controller. Using the Razer Raiju Pro is a great wireless/wired controller for PlayStation 5 and PC. While not a big fan of Razer's Snapse software it is necessary to get the most out of the controller on a PC. Full customization of the thumbsticks, triggers and buttons are all available in Snapse. Tabs for the thumbstick calibration, deadzone drift and sensitivity are all in the software. There are 10 triggers, 6 on the back side and 4 on the bottom, very much like a couple of other premium controllers. The 4 bottom triggers can be removed and replaced with flush covers if you decide you don't need them. I would probably just disable them if I don't need them, making it easier to activate them if needed. All triggers are customizable and triggers L2 and R2 have sliding locks that allow for a simple tap to activate (like needed for FPS games) but with the switch in the other position you get full range analog control (great for racing sims for accelerator and brake). On top are the standard controller D-Pad, thumbsticks, PlayStation power button, touchpad, 4 action buttons, menu button, etc. In the box you get the controller, a wireless dongle and a 6ft cable, alternate joystick caps, flush bottom trigger covers, a screwdriver and a cool carrying case. I have been enjoying using the Raiju Pro playing Madden 26 on my PS5 and racing sims on my PC. Great solution if you game on both. The price point is a bit steep but this is a premium controller compatible with PC and PS5 and is fully programmable so it might be justifiable for you... heck... put it on your Christmas wish list or use that Best Buy gift card that Aunt Mary gave you. 4 stars only because I'm not a fan of Snapse software, sorry Razer. If you are heavily invested in the Razer enviroment (keyboards, mice, headset, speakers, etc) then this would be a 5 star add to your setup.

Best PS5 Controller Yet!!!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Raiju V3 Pro Wireless Gaming Controller is an exceptional upgrade for serious PS5 and PC gamers who demand precision, customization, and premium build quality. From the moment you pick it up, the controller feels solid and well-balanced, with an ergonomic design that supports long gaming sessions without fatigue. The standout feature is the TMR thumbsticks, which deliver remarkably smooth, accurate, and consistent input. Movement feels precise and responsive, making a noticeable difference in competitive games where fine control matters. The responsiveness of the buttons and triggers further reinforces the controller’s high-performance pedigree, offering tactile feedback that feels both deliberate and satisfying. Customization is another major strength. The remappable buttons allow players to tailor the control layout to their individual playstyle, providing a real advantage in fast-paced or complex games. The ability to switch profiles and fine-tune settings gives this controller a level of flexibility typically reserved for elite-level peripherals. Wireless performance is excellent, with a stable, low-latency connection that keeps gameplay seamless on both PS5 and PC. Battery life is dependable, and the controller transitions smoothly between platforms, making it a versatile option for gamers who play across systems. Overall, the Razer Raiju V3 Pro is a premium controller that delivers on performance, comfort, and customization. It is an outstanding choice for players looking to elevate their gaming experience with professional-grade control and reliability.

TMR Sticks are amazing but Sony limits suck
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Razer Raiju V3 Pro immediately improved my aim and feel for FPS games on PS5, without even making any adjustments to the controller settings. I have used a few different "Pro" controllers from several different brands at this point, including the Sony DualSense Edge. The Raiju V3 Pro is the first third-party controller I've used on PS5, as well. #Unboxing and first impressions# The box for the Razer Raiju V3 Pro seemed unique to me in that it adopts the standard Sony Playstation blue-and-white color scheme rather than Razer's classic black and green. Inside the box was all Razer, though - from their dense cell foam protection to the black carry case for the controller itself. The Raiju V3 Pro comes with a few different options for sticks, and frankly I was excited to try them until I used the controller for the first time and the acceleration curve and precision of the default sticks blew me away. I was afraid to change things at that point :). I was surprised that the included Razer HyperSpeed dongle was USB-A rather than USB-C, meaning it will need to hang out on the back side of my PS5 Pro. #Using the Raiju V3 Pro# I've already said it a few times, but I was super impressed with the Raiju as soon as I used it in game. In multiple FPS games and in Star Wars Outlaws, I found the sensitivity curve and precision of the TMR sticks on the Raiju to be immediately accessible and improved my accuracy out of the gate. I also found that the triggers were easy to adapt to, both in their analog and hyperclick modes (which are switchable with physical switches on the back fo the controller). Likewise, after a little bit of reading in the (weirdly tiny) manual, I figured out the way to map the paddles and additional shoulder buttons, and found them to be well placed. They are much easier to reach than the DS Edge's paddles but also don't seem as prone to misclicks as some of the paddles I've used on Xbox "Pro" controllers. My only complaints about the Raiju V3 Pro center around Sony's limitations on third party controllers. While Razer may or may not have included rumble and haptics in the controller, Sony forcing third party companies to go without is just hurting PS5 customers rather than helping Sony in my opinion. By far the worst compromise is not being able to power on the PS5 with the PS button on the Raiju. You either need to use another controller to turn the system on, or get up and do it yourself. Perhaps for someone using the PS5 with a desktop monitor this might not be so bad, but to me it was particularly annoying. Sony, give up the stupid limitations on licensed controllers. On PC, the Raiju is configurable via Synapse 4. I found that it worked well. I was a bit surprised that it tops out at 2000 hz refresh on PC - I figured it wouldhave 8K polling like the Wolverine, but tbh I'm not a good enough gamer to feel a difference once things get that spicy. #Final thoughts# This controller is as perfect as it is allowed to be thanks to Razer's engineering and Sony's confounding limits on licensed controllers. While the price is high (especially considering the lack of rumble and haptics), the value prop is appealing when the TMR sticks and overall ergonomics are this good. This controller is perfect for anyone playing competitive shooters on the PS5.
