It certainly isn't necessary if you have a full keyboard and are comfortable with wasd input. Also, it may prevent input from a controller when playing other games without it. Otherwise, as far as the use of it goes, it functions well and works for mmorpg nicely. I wouldn't get it for most games unless you don't use controllers or are tired of standard keyboard inputs. Basically, it's a niche item that many could pass on.

It's perfect for games like Ghost Recon, PUBG, Fortnite, etc. With the easy to reprogram keys, it can be made perfect for ANY game!

It comes pre-programmed as the left side of a regular keyboard but with three profiles you can set it up for all your gaming needs. It’s definitely made for larger hands, the top keys could be hard to reach for some people. The hand rest does adjust. I wish it did have two extra keys for esc and ctl but other than that it is perfect.

It is nice with all the keybinflds you can truly set it up for your style of play.
