Hearing loss helper
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My mom is very hard of hearing and these are fantastic. She can listen to the tv at her volume and the neighbors don’t hear her. Would like bigger disks for volume and marked in white do we can see

7.1 sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had 2 sets of the first gen, but the headband broke on both (used for many hours for a couple of years) these seem to be a better build with a metal headband, time will tell. I like the sound with these better then the wireless ones, just think the wireless ones sond compressed too much. I have tried the CORSAIR - HS70 SE, Astro Gaming - A50 and Logitech - G933 Artemis, these just sound better to me. Just make sure to set the sound to 7.1 in the sound control panel and adjust the volumes for all of the different speakers with the volume knob.

Great with caveats
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The recommendation noted here and elsewhere for a dedicated sound card is not just a recommendation - it is mandatory. Onboard or integrated sound cards, even on top of the line retail/gaming motherboards, will not provide enough power output to get the most out of these headphones. My old 5.1 Sound Blaster Z (with one of the wires just hanging loose) sounds significantly better than my integrated 7.1 sound card. If you do not have a dedicated sound card, or aren't sure you have one (if you have to ask, you probably don't) then you will be VERY disappointed. However, invest a decent sound card, and you will be impressed. You will need to fiddle with your sound card settings to get the best sound out of them, but it's totally worth it. Pro tip: disable full-range on all speakers in sound settings. The sound is amazing in both music and games. They are extremely comfortable and are very effective at blocking outside noise.
