Customers are saying

Customers are enthusiastic about the Wolverine Ultimate controller's high-quality build, ease of use, and customizable features, frequently praising its comfortable feel and appealing RGB lighting. However, some users reported issues with stick drift and button responsiveness, while others found the wired connection and paddle placement less than ideal. The controller's size also received mixed reviews, with some finding it too large or too small for their hands. Overall, the positive feedback on the controller's design and feel is tempered by concerns about its durability and ergonomics.

First off....I love this controller. Takes some time to get used to but this is the one...I tried the powerA (trash) and tried the elite2 maybe I had bad luck but it went out on me after 2 days. The button placement on the razer is perfect the mechanical button clicks feel amazing lol. Overall I think it’s the top controller...downside is it’s wired but I game right in front to the tv.

Definitely a quality controller. Factor that in with the capability and compatibility to utilize for PC play and winner-winner! I heard zero complaints from my son; which in and of itself makes it worth wild!

For under $100 I felt this controller was a good value. The controller has a good feel as do the buttons. Cable has plenty of length. The only gripe I have is the placement of the buttons on the underside of the controller as the finger placement for those is a bit difficult to get used to. Overall I am very pleased with this controller.

Out of all the controllers I've owned, this one takes the cake. Extremely comfortable, and you feel boojie just holding it. The D-Pad and thumbsticks are held on with magnets, and the design for swapping them is very well done. The controller comes with a sweet case too! *** For PC users, this will not automatically link up to Razer Synapse. You need to go to the Microsoft app store from your start menu, and download the Razer Controller App. (It is the app that the Xbox OS uses in leu of Razer Synapse, you will need to use it for PC as well)***

Controller works great. Love all the optional peripherals. If you have a small hands or short fingers I would recommend the elite controller over this. The paddles in the back are little harder to reach due to their location being more central.

Best FPS / Third-party controller for Xbox SeriesX

This is a great way to play on the Xbox Series X. The Series X Controller didn't give a lot of sound to my Razer Kracken headset, but this controller (being wired - with a 10 ft cable) boosts the power and signal, greatly enhancing my audio. It has quick audio controls on the bottom of the controller, which are great. On a side note, I would recommend the Steelseries Arctis 7X headset for this or the PS5 for fantastic wireless audio. The buttons have a shorter travel and feel great. The joysticks are replaceable with custom sizes and grips that come with this, allowing you to change them out. The shoulder triggers have great travel and if you like, you can shorten the travel of the triggers to very quick and short button presses, great for FPS. It has four fingertip quick buttons you can assign to literally any of the controller functions, on the fly or with the software (on xbox or PC). If you set it up or use on PC, ignore their directions. Razer changed the app and search for "RAZER CONTROLLER SETUP FOR XBOX" app. The other app isn't available and this will save you some frustration. This is a perfect controller for fast gaming or for having a super high quality controller for the Series X. It doesn't have a capture button but other than that, it's perfect. I use this for any FPS and use my series X controller for general single player, slower gaming.

Love the controller. Nice coloring the rgb effects are great the buttons feel better the a regular box controllers. Love the hot swap for the joysticks. The extra buttons are easy to program. The software for the controller is very easy to navigate. The cord is braided and very long and has a tie on it to shorten the length for good cable management.

Great controller for my PC. Nice and durable and has some weight behind it. The only issue is that it has dead zones in the joysticks and not all games have dead zone auto correct.

Love the feel of this control, buttons hit really smooth and sounds amazing. The problem with this control is the back paddles! They’re to spaced from the controler handle so it’s very uncomfortable reaching in the middle to click the paddles. Do love the extra paddles on top, very useful

Great controller and very aesthetically pleasing but not meant for people with smaller-medium hands the paddles are in a very awkward position to the point where you need to stretch your fingers to reach them.

I have to give this control 3 stars do to the fact that its wired, if you have kids or a pet. as usual be prepared for it to be pulled out at the wrong times. Also that there is no feedback in the mic, so i cant really tell how loud im talking or if my friends can even hear me. the controls are difficult after first but feel much more smooth after a aweek or two. if they make a wireless one with feedback, id recommend but otherwise avoid and try to get a elite 2. i gave this 2 months till i wrote this review so i could really give it a good try.

This is what my grandson was wanting so when his birthday came around I knew what to get him. I ordered it on line and picked it up at the store which was very convenient for me. He was so surprised when he opened it and couldn't wait to try it out. It's now his favorite controller.

I don't really use the paddles and I'm trying to learn, but it's annoying that the regular buttons are small not as responsive. Not great if you have large hands.

With a variety of customization options literally at your fingertips, you can use this controller to fine tune your performance and give yourself that little extra edge for those high pressure situations that might keep you stuck at a certain level or less able to compete than you otherwise might like.

Razer Ultimate Wolverine= Xbox Elite Killer?

    |

The Razer Wolverine Ultimate is an excellent alternative to the Xbox Elite Controller. The clicky front facing buttons feels nice to use compared to the standard buttons on the regular Xbox One controller which gives the feeling of using a mouse. The interchangeable joysticks could use more options (for example a long concave stick) and the d pad is okay but i prefer the hybrid D-Pad. One thing that I didn't like are the "paddles" on the back they are in the middle compared to the ones being on the sides like the Xbox Elite and the SCUF Controller. RGB is a nice touch since it's Razer. If you get this on sale it would be worth the purchase but if not i would rather get the elite controller series 2 since it has wireless functionality, stick tension, and in my opinion better placement for the paddles.
