I purchased this because my girlfriend's remote had quit working and we needed a cheap alternative. So far it was relatively easy to program and works with both her older CRT TV and her dish network box. I am a bit curious how long it will last though.

Programming the remote was pretty easy. However, the channels and volume functions are reversed, and require a lot more time figuring out how to program them correctly. Overall, for the rice, the remote is good for it's intended usage.
