    This remote controls my Sony TV. It doesn't do much more than change channels and adjust the volume. No smart TV control.

      Hello Momof2 - Sorry this was your experience. This is a universal remote, so it must be programmed to your TV/device before it will control anything—sometimes it can seem like it “isn’t working” when it simply hasn’t been set up yet. We recommend installing fresh name-brand alkaline batteries, confirming the polarity (+/–), then following the included programming steps (code entry or auto-search) for your TV brand.

    The remote has a great design and was recommended by the salesperson. I was told it would be compatible with my Toshiba television. I was able to complete two steps in the process of programming the remote but it froze and never worked. Very disappointing.

    The remote works as promised. The issue I have is with the size of the buttons and the cable buttons being unclear as to what they control. You have to figure it out.
