    I bought it to work with an LG television with an attached sound bar. It worked fine to change channels and control sound volume on the TV but it would not adjust the volume on a properly connected sound bar. I tried all the LG TV codes it provided but none worked. I checked internet videos and none helped. So, unfortunately I had to return it.

      JD123 - This RCA 3-Device Backlit Universal Remote is compatible with most brands of TVs, DVD/Blu-ray players, streaming devices, and satellite boxes, as noted on the packaging and on Best Buy’s product page. However, this model does not include programming codes for soundbars, so it would not be able to directly control soundbar volume.

    I bought this for an old LCD TV which isn't even a smart TV. I needed it because the original one had broken, after many years of usage. Also, the humidity didn't help things. Luckily this controller was super easy to set up. I was worried since my TV is older than most (about 10 years old) that it might not have been compatible. Over a month later and works just fine.

    Easy to set up, works fine, quality feels like price. I purchased a TV second hand and it didn’t come with a remote, replacements remotes by brand were twice the amount so I love that I could find a usable replacement with a reasonable price tag.

    Kids lose remotes. We bought this so we can be able to adjust the tv volume since they love to make tvs without buttons nowadays. Took a bit to get set up with the pesky codes but once we got it going there's never been any issues.
