Works great as a replacement remote for a TCL tv. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is that the backlight is only the circle section and it would be nice to have a few other normally used buttons to be backlit.

I needed a remote for an old TV and didn't want to spend a lot of money. It was surprising that not only did it work for a TV that was over 10 years old but worked on my Smart TV's (Samsung and Insignia). I would suggest trying this one first before spending a small fortune on something else

Works as intended. There is no constant backlight but there is a button to click if you want the backlight to light up for a moment.

I bought this for my father to use with an almost 10-year-old RCA tv. He's in his 80s, and the power button on the old remote was becoming too hard to press. I'm glad that this was available and easy to program. And that it worked with my father's tv. The only criticism I have right now is that there isn't a key for a "." or "-", that some over-the-air channels require.

Not as good as the samsung remote my tv came with but it is cheap and preprogrammed.

I tried out this remote in the store and liked its 'feel'. The buttons are comfortable in use and spaced well. Setup for my equipment went quickly and there was not problem finding the right codes.

I bought this to replace a remote for a Toshiba model #32L310U18 LED TV. I finally found a code in the code list that turned the TV on and off, and controlled the channel selector (up and down arrows) as well as volume. It does not work for the input button, which means I can watch TV, but cannot stream to my Chromecast or watch DVDs. (Did not try it for cable because I watch from an antenna.) The menu button has limited function, and only allows you to select favorite channels. This remote does not have an auto search code button to allow the remote to select the best code for the device. I spent way too much time trying to find an answer on Google and every single website advised that not every universal remote is really universal. For this model TV, it is not.

I bought this remote because I misplaced the one for our tv. It does everything it states it will do. It you do not want to get up from bed to turn the TV off at night, this will get the job done.

So far so good. The 1st brand i bougjt about 8 weeks ago from Phillips was really bad

Excellent replacement remote for a tv purchased second hand. Very easy to program - no problems at all.

I use this to control a Roku TV in the bedroom and I couldn't be happier. I just needed a simple cheap remote that controls the Roku TV and Cable box. Unfortunately, it can only control a streaming box OR a cable box. Not both. Since the Roku is built into the TV, I was able to control the Roku function and cable box separately.

Bought for an old LG flat screen. Tried 3 others and this one works. Just to see, programmed to and older Samsung as well. Worked like a charm and was able to easily reprogram back to LG tv.

Good universal remote at a low price. Works great with my Samsung Blu-ray player, easy to pair with the device.

We have some Samsung HDTVs that we are using as computer displays in a plant control room, and the remote got lost. I purchased this universal remote so that I could program the displays properly. I entered the code I found in the instructions and it worked flawlessly for programming the TVs. No complaints, it just worked well.
