Not working for my TV

No back or home button!

These two buttons and the arrow/enter are what all the smart TV’s need to function with apps. Waste of time and money. I don’t watch enough TV so I found this out too late and can’t return. Don’t buy. I have a Toshiba.

Posted .Hello CaptAmer - Toshiba is one of the brands that we have a high success rate with when it comes to our remote controls. There are also multiple codes for Toshiba, so if one of the codes does not work, another code may provide more functionality. Unfortunately, not all functions can be guaranteed with a universal remote.

Easy remote to hookup

Doesn't work with most new devices

It has limited functionality with both. I called the manufacturer and they said it was for older devices, not newer tvs and blu ray players. I threw away my receipt like a fool and so now I'm out the money and I have to buy yet another remote to see if it works. Its like shooting in the dark with these things. You would think they had more compatibility info on the packaging or at least their website. This remote is not even listed on the manufacturer's site at all and finding a tech support number was really rather difficult. They told me this remote is for Best Buy only and that is why there is no documentation or support on their website. Best Buy doesn't do anything with this remote for support except sell it. Basically, if you have anything later than 2000, I guess it wont work properly.

Universal remotes rely on matching the correct code to each device, and some brands do have multiple code sets for each device, which can make setup more challenging. For future setups, many of our remotes include an auto-search method, which can often simplify the programing process.
