    It took a few times to program, then a couple of weeks later it will change volume and channels but won't turn off or on.

    It probably works for other equipment, but I needed it for my Magnavox MWR20V6 VHS-DVD dubber, and after trying all remote codes (Magnavox and Funai), NONE of the buttons on the remote would let me access the setup-menu, or the other critical functions I needed it to do. It probably works ok on other brands of recorder, but I wouldn't know. This is the second time I've given a review on this remote. I don't know what is wrong with BestBuy's review program that I keep receiving emails to review this thing.

    I use this for broadcast TV and I can't seem to locate any button that is a decimal point ( . ) Also the backlight only lights the ring in the center which is probably the easiest button to locate by touch, all the other buttons stay dark. I am forced to pick yes or no "recommend to a friend" My answer is no if you want to use it on broadcast TV, yes if not, a "maybe" or "depends" option would be nice
