Posted .Hello Kali - Samsung TV's are one of the most popular brands and the brand that we have a lot of success operating with our remotes. Typically there are multiple codes for Samsung TV's, hopefully you tried the other codes until you found the one that worked for your specific TV. As with any universal remote control, the remote buttons may not be 100% identical to that of your factory remote control and it is tough to guarantee 100% compatibility with any universal remote control.

Not true wont connect why? Because it needs original remote not this universal remote. So i dont recommend to waste you money if needing for a toshiba firetv. Price was good but only for other devices. Toshiba is on the code book but the codes will not work on the Toshiba firetv.

Posted .Hello Happyshopper - Unfortunately, it is impossible to tell if a universal remote is going to work with all functions of a specific make/model of television. Usually, if we have codes listed for your brand of TV, then it will work but sometimes just for the basic functions. Cannot change input
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was hoping to use this for an older TV in order to change from HDMI 1 to HDMI 2 because the buttons are broken, but it doesn't work. It only turns on/off the TV and can increase/decrease the volume.

Not easy!

I wanted to bypass using my Roku remote, and switch input when I wanted antenna TV. I asked those questions specifically and he recommended this remote. My granddaughter and her boyfriend (tech savvy) could not program it for the Roku. They followed ALL directions and possibilities in the instructions plus tried some online hints. No luck. I also couldn’t seem to pick up any local signals. I’m returning the remote.

Won't work with a Roku stick

The salesperson said it work great with my Roku stick, but it didn't. The stick uses a wireless input. This controller can only put out an infrared signal. When I took them back, another person said that it only works with the set-top Roku box. Best Buy really needs to train their sales people better.

If you are able to look at it out of the box before buying you will see what i mean. Backlight is only for directional pad and power buttons. Not on whole remote so what is the point?

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS REMOTE

Not only does the remote not work with the TV brands it says it works for, if you try to contact them they do not exist. I tried calling the company that makes these controllers and they have completely removed any type of help regarding these remotes back in 2018. When I tried to call for assistance they told me too bad and then hung up on me. Highly do not recommend purchasing this item.

Posted .Thanks for the feedback, Marvin. Sorry to hear setup was frustrating. With Samsung TVs especially, it's important to try all available codes listed in the manual, since each may activate different sets of functions. If some buttons didn’t respond, trying a different code can often solve that.

Very frustrated. I decided to order a new DirecTV remote which also has more functionality. Programming was seamless. Returning the RCA remote.

Could not get to work
