I needed it because the original one had broken, after many years of usage. Also, the humidity didn't help things. Luckily this controller was super easy to set up. I was worried since my TV is older than most (about 10 years old) that it might not have been compatible. Over a month later and works just fine.

Great Remote

We bought this so we can be able to adjust the tv volume since they love to make tvs without buttons nowadays. Took a bit to get set up with the pesky codes but once we got it going there's never been any issues.

Good basic remote for the price

Wasn't looking for anything fancy, just the basic functions. This was one of the least expensive ones in the store. Setup to the TV was straight forward using the provided codes. Does was I need the remote to do and overall I'm satisfied with the purchase.
