I got this remote so I could hook up my Switch to play Pokémon on the TV. It worked perfectly! So now I take it whenever I travel :)

Decent upgrade for a basic remote

Controls the Firestick too. Great value, the instructions made it easy to setup but going through multiple codes was tiresome.

Pleasantly surprised in Bulverde Texas

This remote found it for me. Just had to turn on TV and it worked. Easiest thing I did all day.

Since I was trying to set up something that was never going to work, I ended up using all 3 methods in the instructions to try to get it to work; so if you do need a remote that can connect to multiple audio/video components with relatively easy setup, this will work but make sure the device has the ability to receive the remote signals first ;)

This universal remote sends infrared (IR) commands and needs a device with an IR receiver and line-of-sight—many computer monitors don’t have that, so a remote can’t control them. Your reminder to confirm the device can receive IR signals before buying a remote is exactly right.

Reliable and easy to ise

It is very easy to install, connect, and use. Been using for 2 years and there has been no rust despite water spillage and being left outside (weather). Great price! Durable and reliable, indeed!
