My mom is 81 y.o. wanted a user friendly remote.

Easy setup

Universal Remote

I was hesitant because it was the cheapest, but it was a good choice! Yes, our TV came with a remote, but we like 2 in a room.

It said it could program up to 3 devices, but he hasn't programmed anything else to it yet. He said it was very good.

Our only issue is that it doesn't have a button to get to the "List" of DVR recordings like our DirecTV remote does. You can get to the list, but it takes a few buttons - so we "still" have to use our DirecTV remote control for quick access (1 button) to our recorded listing.

When we did have specific questions nobody was available to guide and/or answer them.
