TCL codes didn't work, but auto search did.

I eventually did the scan and it worked, so no harm. 1 star off because, like most remotes, the battery cover is garbage and broke almost immediately,

Life saver for remote loser

This remote helped solve that problem in two ways... 1) I can program this remote to devices with lost remotes. 2) It is large enough that it is definitely harder to lose. Works with all of my devices and was super easy to setup (I didn't even have to go into the daunting pages of codes to get it to work!)

Just needed power, volume, getting to TV settings, menu, return. We have FireStick for a streaming service and the arrow buttons worked! We didn't have to configure anything, it just worked after we setup The remote for the TV! So we didn't need to use a separate remote for the FireStick!

She’s got a Roku and a BluRay player as well, so this was a perfect choice for her. Easy to program and use; it can even light up some of the buttons so it’s easier to see in the dark. Not a top pick for our living room or theatre setups, but perfect for a simple bedroom setup!

I bought it for a tv I borrowed that had no remote until I get another set. Another great feature for me is that it has a sleep timer, so I set it and forget it - turns the tv off after I'm asleep (: It is back lit, though I wish it lit up a bit more brightly, but it works just fine as is, now that I'm used to it. Shipping was fast as well, which is always nice.
