Posted .Hi Recpmmtenation - While the antenna itself is a simple plug-and-play device, no channels will be received unless a channel scan is performed after connecting any over-the-air TV the antenna—this is a necessary step outlined in both the Quick Start Guide and the Owner’s Manual included in the box. Each TV brand has a different method for accessing the channel scan feature, so referring to your TV’s manual for those instructions is important.

Found wanting

With or without the amplifier, we could not get a decent signal, even from very local broadcast stations. Out on our porch, sure, but not indoors.

Posted .Hello - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal or not. Unfortunately there are some locations where it is difficult to get a great viewing experience with any antenna. We love to hear when people are ready to Cut-The-Cord! Some other factors when it comes to selecting a proper antenna for your location include factors like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. In most instances, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you generally have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna.

Posted .If no channels appeared, it’s almost always because you did not perform a brand new channel scan through your TV menu settings. The instruction manual and Quick Start Guide included in the antennas package both explain that this step is required—your TV will never show any channels unless you run the channel scan after connecting the antenna. Try placing the antenna high up or near a window facing your local broadcast towers, fully uncoil the cable, and run the scan again. A major disappointment

I thought this was an upgrade. I was sadly mistaken. I have hooked it up to the same TV I used the other RCA antenna on and I can only receive TWO channels on this antenna. I can receive 14 on the older one. I was trying to upgrade not downgrade!

The free app for your smartphone is very easy to use to aim the antenna in the right direction by finding all the signals in your area. I get 135 channels with this antenna!!!

Very Few Channels

Small antennas, poor results.

The built in amplifier helps a little. But the antenna needs to be constantly repositioned in the room to achieve consistent results. The short (6 ft.) power cord strictly limits the placement options. However, there are no indoor antennas on the market that will actually give good results receiving any weak digital signals. My advice is, spend your money on a larger size outdoor antenna then mount it inside your attic.
