Hello chuckh1234 - The antenna process is designed to be rather simple. To set up an over-the-air TV antenna, first find the optimal location in your home for the antenna (https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps), ideally near a window and as high as possible, to ensure the best signal reception. Then, connect the antenna to your TV, scan for available channels using your TV's setup menu and you should be able to view channels on your TV. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you further.

Hello LuisP - The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location, is the major factor on whether an antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there. There are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal due to a lack of strong signals and other factors in the surrounding environment that can potentially (negatively) affect those signals. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Typically, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window that faces the direction of your local broadcast towers, you will likely have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location.

Hello Novice - The signal strength at your location inside your residence is the most important factor on whether or not any antenna can receive a signal. If you live close to the local broadcast towers, sometimes you may not need the most expensive antenna to receive those signals

Hello SaritaV - We're sorry to hear that the antenna didn't meet your expectations in terms of being wire-free. We understand the appeal of a completely wireless experience, but unfortunately, over-the-air antennas do require a physical connection to ensure reliable signal transmission.

I am very disappointed with this product! I have to continually scan and re-scan to find stations. I need to exchange this product for a better antenna, but Best Buy website said I cannot. I have tried calling, but get cut off. I have always used Best Buy and to be treated this way is unacceptable!

I have 2 other indoor antennas and they work great and pick up a lot of OTA channels. Unfortunately, this RCA antenna is a piece of garbage and am going to throw in trash. I wouldn't want anyone else to try and think it would even work. If I could rate it -5 stars I would. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!

Hello RaiderOne - The signal strength at the specific and exact location you are placing the antenna is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal. There are some locations within a house, such as a basement, where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal. Some other factors include things like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. Metal roofing also plays a role in degrading an incoming broadcast signal. If you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you may have better luck getting a signal with the antenna. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings when first setting up your antenna and any time you move or adjust your antenna. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location.

The reception of stations that broadcast less then 5 miles away is constantly interrupted with broken video and audio and even blackouts lasting a few seconds or more.

Hello Curley -In some instances, if the broadcast towers are very close and the signal is too strong, it can actually be problematic. An overly strong signal can oversaturate your TV's tuner, causing pixelation and dropouts, as you described.

Hello ErasmoP, we’re sorry to hear that you weren’t able to receive any channels. The most common reason for this is not performing a Channel Scan after connecting the antenna to your TV. This step is crucial, as TVs do not automatically detect channels without performing that step. After performing the channel scan, placement is also key—higher locations near windows facing the direction of the broadcast towers in your area, away from metal objects and electronic interference, tend to yield the best reception.
