Not sure if it’s just my area or my walls but it doesn’t hold reception for channels and is very picky if you ever try to get it to search for channels again.

Posted .Hello Zackyzac, we appreciate your feedback. Signal strength can fluctuate based on terrain, distance from broadcast towers, and interference from walls, buildings, and other structures. If channels are disappearing after rescanning, it's possible that signals are fluctuating due to environmental conditions. We recommend positioning the antenna in a stable location near a window, away from electronics, and ensuring it is directed toward the strongest available signals. Additionally, always perform a fresh Channel Scan after any changes to the antenna’s placement. The Quick Start Guide and Owner’s Manual included in the package mention that this step must be performed, but they do not outline the process, as each TV manufacturer has a different method for performing a Channel Scan. Please refer to your TV’s Owner’s Manual for those instructions. You can also verify available channels and their signal strength using the FCC’s tool at https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps. For further troubleshooting, please visit https://www.rcaantennas.net/ask-engineer/.

A major disappointment

I thought this was an upgrade. I was sadly mistaken. I have hooked it up to the same TV I used the other RCA antenna on and I can only receive TWO channels on this antenna. I can receive 14 on the older one. I was trying to upgrade not downgrade!

Found wanting

With or without the amplifier, we could not get a decent signal, even from very local broadcast stations. Out on our porch, sure, but not indoors.

Posted .Hello - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal or not. Unfortunately there are some locations where it is difficult to get a great viewing experience with any antenna. We love to hear when people are ready to Cut-The-Cord! Some other factors when it comes to selecting a proper antenna for your location include factors like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. In most instances, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you generally have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna.
