Bought two antennas. One worked well for the new TV, not for older TV. Second box was never opened but I waited 21 days to return. Was told I could buy a membership that allows 60 day returns. I told the person no thank you, not sure I want to do business with Best Buy anymore.

Hello LukeR - The most common reason an antenna seems not to work is that the TV hasn’t had a full channel scan performed—your TV won’t display any channels until that step is completed. Reception also depends on the broadcast signal strength inside your home, which can vary with distance to the towers and building materials. Placing the antenna high and near a window facing the towers usually improves results.

Works great, get about 6-8 channels, and most importantly Fox, that's blocked by DirectV.

Unable to get to work with TV. Also needed wi fi for phone to use. Really wanted it to work as no TV, phone or internet because of hurricane Ida for almost a month. Got very tired of the transistor radio.

This antenna would not pick up the NBC and PBS channels 15 miles from our home. We live in a small town in Central Illinois. No tall buildings or hills. Returned the antenna to the store for a refund.

Hello LeonardoS – The most common reason for no reception is a weak or obstructed over-the-air signal in your area or not performing a new channel scan after connecting your antenna. Make sure your antenna is placed as high as possible, ideally near a window facing the broadcast towers. Nearby buildings, trees, or distance from towers can also affect reception. You can check signal strength and tower direction for your exact location using the FCC map at https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps

I wouldn’t buy this. Its no better then the regular rabbit ears. I bought this not knowing it had rabbit ears. The box is very deceiving. I wanted to get away from the rabbit ears. So since I bought it i at least tried it. After 4 days of having I returned it and purchased another antenna. Pay the extra money for the higher grade antenna. Don’t waste your money on this one

Hi Carol – We're sorry to hear the antenna didn’t work as expected. A common issue we see is that after connecting a new antenna, it’s essential to perform a full channel scan through your TV’s settings menu; otherwise, no channels will appear, even with a strong signal. This important step is outlined in the Quick Start Guide and Owner’s Manual included in the box.
Other factors like signal blockage from walls, distance from towers, or interference from metal surfaces can also impact reception. We’d be happy to help troubleshoot and determine what might be going on—we are available for free support at https://www.rcaantennas.net/ask-engineer/.

Very disappointed in this model. This comes from a former owner of a previous model. I received more channels on previous model which had no extended antenna in the exact same location of my home. I regret I gave older model away as gift. I won’t regret giving this version away. I thought newer meant better. Boy was I wrong. SMH.

Hello AlonzoJ - Keep in mind that you will have to perform a new channel scan each and every time you connect a new antenna to your TV. You performed an "Auto Program" or "Channel Scan" when you set up your original antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after connecting the new antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse as you are reporting.

I’m rating this low simply because it didn’t pull in the local channels for me at my location. I was encouraged to try others until I found one that worked.

Hello KPAV - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether any antenna can receive a signal. As it mentioned, there are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal. Some other factors include things like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. If you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you may have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location as not all antennas are the same.
