Confused customer
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed in this model. This comes from a former owner of a previous model. I received more channels on previous model which had no extended antenna in the exact same location of my home. I regret I gave older model away as gift. I won’t regret giving this version away. I thought newer meant better. Boy was I wrong. SMH.

Posted .Hello AlonzoJ - Keep in mind that you will have to perform a new channel scan each and every time you connect a new antenna to your TV. You performed an "Auto Program" or "Channel Scan" when you set up your original antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after connecting the new antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse as you are reporting.

Not the one that worked in my particular location.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m rating this low simply because it didn’t pull in the local channels for me at my location. I was encouraged to try others until I found one that worked.

Posted .Hello KPAV - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether any antenna can receive a signal. As it mentioned, there are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal. Some other factors include things like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. If you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you may have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location as not all antennas are the same.

Posted .We're sorry to read about your initial experience with the antenna. Reception issues can be due to various factors, even when in close proximity to broadcast towers. Sometimes too strong of a signal can actually be a bad thing. Some other factors that can affect reception include building materials, nearby terrain, and even electronic interference within the home. For better reception, try repositioning the antenna near a window facing the broadcast tower direction and rescan for channels. You can reach out to us at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com and we would be glad to assist you further.

Posted .Hello TerrenceA - Sorry to read that the antenna did not work as expected at your specific location. Hopefully you did run a channel scan through your TV menu settings after each and every time you moved or relocated the antenna. That is the most often over-looked required step. Keep in mind, there are several other factors that can affect your ability to receive the broadcast signal at your specific location. The biggest factors in whether any antenna can receive a signal relates to the broadcasters power & the signal strength at your specific location inside your home, the surrounding terrain, whether or not there you have a direct line of sight to the broadcast towers, meteorological conditions, large nearby structures and even the construction materials used in your dwelling. If you can send us a quick email to RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code we can take a look to see what other specific information we may be able to provide to you.

Posted .Hello chuckh1234 - The antenna process is designed to be rather simple. To set up an over-the-air TV antenna, first find the optimal location in your home for the antenna (https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps), ideally near a window and as high as possible, to ensure the best signal reception. Then, connect the antenna to your TV, scan for available channels using your TV's setup menu and you should be able to view channels on your TV. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you further.

Posted .Hello LuisP - The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location, is the major factor on whether an antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there. There are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal due to a lack of strong signals and other factors in the surrounding environment that can potentially (negatively) affect those signals. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Typically, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window that faces the direction of your local broadcast towers, you will likely have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. Posted .Hello Novice - The signal strength at your location inside your residence is the most important factor on whether or not any antenna can receive a signal. If you live close to the local broadcast towers, sometimes you may not need the most expensive antenna to receive those signals
