I purchased this antenna so that I could connect another TV in a different room without the expense of adding another cable box. It suffices to provide most of the major antenna stations without too much adjusting. I can't get ABC, but I believe that has more to do with the type of building I live in, and its proximity to the broadcast station. I also did not want to invest a lot of money into purchasing an antenna since most of my TV viewing would be in the room that is connected to cable.

My previous antenna would constantly lose the signal every time someone walked in front of it and while trying to watch T.V. When this happens, I had to re-scan. After re-scanning, I would either pick up less channels, pick up different channels, never the same channels. After reading the reviews, I went out and purchased this antenna. Very impressed with this antenna because does not need to be facing south, great picture, without zero re-scanning. Well worth the money.

This item can be somewhat temperamental sometimes. It works pretty well over all. Sometimes it works best with the amplifier off. Just so you know. The picture is really good when you find the right angle.

TV antennas are very conditional in that it all depends on where you are located to the Main TV antenna signal. This antenna works great at our location and is about 35 miles from the Main TV antenna tower.

The only reason I didn’t give this a five is because it doesn’t do anything out of the norm. It’s a good antenna and does what it’s made for without extra effort or tin foil additions ^_^

Worth a look if you've cut the cable

We cut the cable about a year ago, haven't regretted it at all, we saved a lot of money just subscribing to Netflix, Hulu and HBO and streaming on demand. The only thing we wanted to watch but couldn't was the Olympics. Why NBC don't offer a streaming subscription like they do for the Tour de France is a mystery. Bought this antenna so that we could at least get the local NBC station and see some events. Easy to set up, worked reasonably well, although we had to move it around a bit to find good reception. NBC's coverage sucked, so ended up buying a VPN subscription and watching BBC coverage instead. Disconnected and in a storage drawer now, probably won't get a lot more use, but would probably work for someone who wants to watch the network channels and not have to pay any subscription. For a one time cost of $30 it is good value if you use it a lot.

Tried another antenna and couldn't capture both the UHF and VHF channels in the area. This antenna gets both with no breaks in reception. Looks good alongside our components. Happy with the purchase.

What makes this antenna good is the fact that the two aerials are able to move around allowing better reception.

Cable Went Out Due To Storm...This Worked!

after a recent winter storm our Cable went out for over a week. A few days into No Internet, land line telephone and tv, I went to buy this antenna. I didn't have much hope as in the old days very few channels were available in my area. But to my surprise... The amount of channels I received was Excellent! All local networks 2,4,5,7,9,11, and 13, ME TV, a channel with Movies, Shopping Channels QVC & HSN and More.. And very easy set up on a digital tv with a simple scan of channels.

We cut the cable and this is an inexpensive alternate. Pulls in all the stations I want to see. We have Apple TV so we get all the rest for free.

    Worth The Price

How good could a 25 dollar antenna be? Easy hookup, got about 40 channels from 35 miles away. It was literally set it and forget it. Didn't even need to adjust the rabbit ears. Good enough with streaming services I'm all set. Thanks! I left off one star because I didn't like the fact the coax cable is non-removable. So if you wanted to put the antenna somewhere away from the TV your stuck with the length of the existing cable.

For the price, this does a pretty good job of pulling in my local digital stations. There are better antennas, sure, but you'll pay more for them. I'd say this one is a good "starter" for someone that wants to try watching broadcast TV instead of cable. If you like getting free TV (who doesn't?), then you can decide if you want to spend more on a better antenna.

Good antenna for the price. Get all my local channels I was looking for. Some channels get pixelated during windy but overall works as expected. Nice to get free local channels

None of the antennas I have tried work for all of the HDTV channels in our area (even when they show a Good full-strength signal). This is an amplified antenna with a power/by-pass switch. We don't need the amplification at our location (relatively close to the stations) but there is very little signal output with the switch in the Off/by-pass position. This product might work better at a location farther from the HDTV transmitters where you can use the amplifier.

This antenna works great. Once you get it pointed correctly, I get over 20 watchable channels. I cut the cable and don't miss paying those monthly bills. Recommended antenna.

Although it did not pick up most of the local channels, the picture is really sharp and clear. Compact but powerful with long range for HDTV signals. Just need to re-scan the channels if you move the antenna to a new location.

This product does a pretty good job catching a broadcast signal. Really it does a better job than one I had previously purchased and paid twice as much. For an indoor antenna it does a good job.

HD quality is good. I do get most channels it says I'd get, except CBS. No biggie, since FOX, ABC, & NBC come in good. Just a few very temporary(lasting a second or two) glitches on ABC rarely.
