We cancelled cable after many years. This antenna gives us a better picture than we had with cable and all the local channels.

    Works Excellent

I live in Denver metro area (about 15 miles from the major stations) and this antenna worked like a charm. When I put it next to the TV in my family room(which is not facing in the direction of the major broadcasting station) it picked about 25 channels. Picture quality is excellent. I tried putting in to my basement so that I can send signals in my all rooms. It still worked fine. Finally I found the sweet spot to put it into one of the bedroom where the window is facing to broadcasting station direction and wired it through the internal video feed and adjusted the circuit in the central circuit to feed to all the rooms and it picked up about 60+ channels.

    Not Good Signal

I bought this antenna because I no longer have cable. I was told by the sales agent at Best Buy that I did not need a converter box, only this digital antenna, because I have a fairly new Sony HDTV. The antenna was easy to setup, and at first glance, when I program channels alot of digital and local channels came in. However, the signal does not keep, ends up with a few channels that keeps losing their signal. Most of the time can not watch a program all the way through, before the signal is gone. I am getting ready to box this antenna up and return to Best Buy. Hopefully someone there can recommend a better buy.

I have bought a few amplified TV Antenna's that didn't have the gain this one does it brought in Tulsa's ABC station in midtown . KTUL which broadcast in VHF-D doesn't come in with a lower gain..This one has got 55db. Having two gain controls UHF and VHF is a plus when your dealing with HDTV signals. Like other reviewers I have had to find the right spot for it higher works better near a window. Takes a while to find that spot but it's well worth it when you do. I am telling others that live near me about this one.

With digital tv you need a good antenna, this is the best antenna I've ever used, I'm disappointed it took me so long to find it. Now with digital tv free tv looks like cable.

    Cheap, but not many channels

We tried using this antenna and can only get about half the channels we should be getting. Furthermore, it is extremely touchy, if you barely move it or bump it, you will lose reception and have to fiddle with it to find the "spot" again.

Ok last night my RCA outdoors hdtv antenna stoped working. My ac plug seems to have fried so I went and picked up this antenna and wow what a diffrence. With my old RCA antenna I tried sticking it everywhere and still I could not pick up NBC and Fox came in spotty. As soon as I plugged in the RCA Amplified Indoor Off-Air HDTV Antenna bang NBC came in crystel clear and FOX was the same. I live 25 miles or more from the TV towers in my area. This sure beats paying comcast.

I use it on my deck to watch football and the picture is really great. I've considered getting several more and doing away with cable altogether.

I just bought this antenna because my old rabbit ears would only pick up a few Digital signals and even fewer HD signals. I had about 20 channels total. I set this one up and now I have 60 over the air channels! I receive almost of my local HD and Digital broadcasts except for one. That one channels broadcast tower is just too far away, I would need a roof mounted amplified antenna, but I live in an apartment and face east (all Los Angeles broadcast towers are west). Overall, great value for the money! I'm using this antenna on a Samsung DLP 720P HDTV with built-in HD tuner.

I am able to receive 17 channels on the TV. Figured it would be challenging when connecting it to a Westinghouse TV. Very easy to activate.

not having cable for 4 years it is nice to be able to use the antenna to get ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX all in HD to still get some shows and sports to watch and not have to pay for cable.

    Not Powerful Enough

Amplifier helps, but if not near a window, clear of the ceiling, walls, etc., it will not get all of 2 - 11 channels; I still cannot get Channel 11.

Didn't really improve my signal unless the cheap metal antenna were in wild positions that looked ridiculous. Returned these for the terk amplified panel antenna.

Check how far you are located from towers before you buy. It actually picked up some stations farther than speced at but next day might not come in. I found one on the Internet (40dB Gain SP813) that was only slightly better until placed in the attic and now pick up 65 channels

    Do Not Expect Too Much

This antanna did not work well for me. I hooked the antanna to my set-top box replacing regular rabbit-ears I had hooked up to it. The picture quality was less than when I had the rabbit ears hooked on, and that was without the gains turned on. I also lost signals to 2 stations my regular rabbit-ears picked up. With the gains at maximum, I picked up the signals of the 2 channels I lost when the gains were off. The picture quality was better but still had some faint snow showing in the picture. I positioned it in the same place my rabbit-ears was positioned and even moved it close to the ceiling as I did the rabbit-ears and the reception was the same between the two antannas. This took place on the second floor of my home. I will be returning this one for an omni directional or an outdoor model.

It's fine generally but in bad weather the reception flickers and drops sometimes. It reestablishes connection but it's nearly impossible to watch certain channels.

    Great Indoor Amplifier Antenna

Now I can pick up qubo at 97% and other stations. It have a great 55db+ gain. I can also use a splitter for other TV's. I'm using a 2 way splitter of 3.5db-. So that's 52db-. If you use a 4 way splitter of 7db-, it will be 4db-. If you have an 8 way splitter, it will be 45db-. If you don't want to loose a signal, than you should buy an amplifier that have 0db that take no signal loss.
