After a storm took out our cable TV and a repair was not available for 4 days, we bought this antenna and had it running in 30 minutes, in time to watch AGT.

Reception is not good TV face in and out constantly have to replace the antenna and still get a lot of static and fading in and out not sure if it’s the area I’m in or the antenna itself but I have tried it in two different areas of the house and the results are the same

First off, the picture quality truly is much better than cable, that statement needs to be repeated, the picture quality truly is much better than cable. Once you buy and get this antenna home all you do is plug in the power cord that's attached to the antenna into a power outlet and screw in the cable wire that is also attached to the antenna into your T.V. You are then done hooking up your amplified antenna to you T.V. Now just go into your T.V. Settings then into your Antenna settings and choose the appropriate box, you then scan for digital signals (TV channels) and your done. For those of us that remember the good old days of rabbit ears and free TV you will be smiling and amazed you honest to goodness do not need to pay for a cable subscription to watch television anymore. I pulled in about 67 channels, of those 15 Spanish channels 5 Asian Chanel's 3 Arabic Chanel's a couple European channels 3 Classic TV channels to see old western cowboy movies, Hogans Heros, the Dick VanDyke show and the like not to mention about 5 music channels a few channels such as 2,4,7,9 and 11 have HD and none HD sub channels but the HD channels need to be seen to be believed

Worked Right Out of the Box!

I honestly believe that the picture quality is going to depend where you live, and where you place this antenna. I love in Los Angeles, on the 2nd story of a 2 story apartment building near downtown. I hooked this to my 52" Samsung TV, plugged it in and put it on the window sill. Extended the rabbit ear antennas, turned on the amp and then did an auto scan with my TV. It found 149 HD channels! And they all work! Local stations like CBS, NBC, KTLA, ABC, KCAL, FOX, KCOP are all clear and crisp! Heck, overall quality for me was better than DirecTV!!! I'm VERY satisfied with this antenna. But again, for me, Its placed at the window sill 20 feet off the ground. So, I'm sure your quality or what you pick up is really going to depend on where the antenna is placed. If you live in the basement, I don't know what you'll get. My only complaint is that the coax cord is a little short. It's probably 6 foot, but my TV is about 10 feet away from the window sill. So I'll need a coax extension. Other than that, this is a great antenna. I was hesitant at first but figured I'd give it a shot. Super happy, 149 channels later, goodbye forever DirecTV! Between this, Hulu and my AppleTV, I'm set. Definitely recommend, if you have a good place to put it. I'm including a picture from ABC that I took with my iPhone of the picture quality.

With this antenna we get more channels than we ever did with your basic cable. This was extremely easy to set up. A few times a day, it will get a glitch in it and make the tv show freeze for a couple seconds, but it always comes right back. Really that is a plus cause it is so amusing to see how people look all cracked up on the screen (lol) Of course you don't get cable movies and HBO and Starz, etc, but I'm not paying for any of it or any basic cable either. Extremely pleased.

The antenna was easy to use and connect to my tv so I purchased a second one too since I am not a cable subscriber. After doing the channel searching, I was able to obtain 30+ additional channels with a clear picture. This was a very good buy.

Easy to set up, though I added additional coax so I could place the antenna by the window. I got 34 channels, including the 3 major networks, 4 PBS channels, and QVC and HSN! I did reposition it a couple of times to get optimum reception. Definitely a great buy!

works well in my area - picks up about 20 stations. Good picture quality. Overall very happy with purchase and would recommend to anyone who just wants basic tv without breaking the bank. check to see what stations are available in your area first so you know what to expect to be able to pick up so you won't be disappointed if you can't get it with the antenna though.

This antenna works well with my HDTV and gives great HD signal. If possible, place as close to the window since it can lose signal or pixelate easily especially when you touch the device. Good price for free, local HD channels.

I really wanted to like this antenna, after being so excited in hearing about all the reviews for it at the store and online, It was highly-recommended to me by the Best Buy sales guy, and it's amplified via AC current plug-in, so that made me anticipate using it after have ZERO success with the well-advertised non-AC model that is on TV infomercial that is on about 5 times a day on Cable TV. That well-known and well-advertised model is incredibly BAD at picking up TV signals, and less than HALF of the over-the-air TV stations can be picked up by that antenna, and the other half don't come in well at all. That being said, however, the reality is, this particular RCA antenna is just okay overall. While it is much better at picking up over-the-air TV signals than the well-advertised TV Infomercial model as seen on TV , it still has a hard time bringing them all in and consistently enough to justify a higher overall rating. Even when you have adjusted the Rabbit Ears to get a good enough reception of 3/4 of the available channels one minute, you lose the reception of other 1/4 of them at the same time, so you have to keep getting up to adjust the placement of the unit and the Rabbit Ears to get other channels. It's like playing Russian Roulette with the TV station reception with this model. It's not a bad Antenna, but there are other better models out there to choose from. The best models are indeed the ones that are AC-powered, but of those considered, the best ones are the models without Rabbit Ears.

I've been using this antenna for two months and it has worked well. Set up was very easy although I have to have it in front of a window to receive all of the 22 available channels in my area. I also bought one for a basement TV and that one will need a longer coax to reach an upstairs window. It currently receives 3 channels.

We cut the cord from cable but still wanted some basic over the air channels. We live in a bigger city and our house does not have big buildings around it so this antenna works great. We're able to get all the major networks and several smaller over the air channels. However, if you need an antenna like this one, do some research as to where you live and from how far the signal is coming. Depending on that, you may need a more powerful antenna. This one is powered so does well for me and brings in a crystal clear signal. For some channels I need to adjust the antenna a bit but I can't complain as I'm getting network broadcasts in 1080p signal (for those networks that broadcast that high).
