Tried others that weren't amplified and they didn't work. With the amplification on this one, we are able to get the 2 stations. It did take a bit of position of antenna to get the signal. Otherwise, works great.

I am sure it was my fault somehow but I returned it b/c it was just not working out.

Still using antenna...

I guess you get what you pay for. The more expensive antenna worked better. However, I am sure my location was also to blame
