great kindle for audio books

Antenna did not pick up stations as noted on box

I was told I could spend more but didn't need to because "everyone" in my area bought this one and the store representative said he never heard anything negative. Well, it doesn't work. We tried multiple times moving the antennas every direction, hold the base high over our heads, tilting the base this way and that way. Still couldn't get ABC without pixeling, no PBS or CBS. Two majors stations no and one such poor quality as to make us give up and go in the bedroom where a different antenna had no trouble receiving a signal. Now I am told I have kept it too long to return even though I just basically took it out of the box and put it right back in.

Not A Powerful Antenna

I tried it powered and non-powered and adjusted the rabbit ears multiple ways - all I could pull in was the station that was less than 5 miles away, while I should have been able to get 6 to 10.
