Very good product for broadcast channels for short term stays when cable or satellite is not needed.

    Good reception

I used this on a smaller TV and the reception was really great. I have recommended this one to several friends, and they all are happy with their antennae, too. It is amplified -- and that is a plus -- so I would recommend that future buyers consider amplified antennas when shopping. Great product -- been in use for over a year with no problems.

    Good Bye Cable

I get 28 channels. Half are in HD. I get all the major network channels. The set up was super easy. If you are trying to cut the cord and save a little money, this little baby pays for itself and the first month.

    Poor Quality

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This antenna works okay, however it takes a lot of maneuvering of the antenna whiskers as well as rotating the entire unit, which can be difficult with a sturdy coaxil cord attached to it. The antenna whiskers lasted all of two weeks before the swivels at the base wore out causing the whiskers to fall side to side under their own weight. I tried tightening the swivels with a screw driver, but this did not work. I had to resort to tape and other strange methods to keep the whiskers in a suitable placement. Eventually, one whisker snapped in half as I was depressing it. Might be worth spending a little more money to purchase an antenna that is more sturdy and lasts longer...

    Too Sensitive to Movement

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The antenna itself is super finicky and even the smallest movements or adjustments would change how many channels it would pull in. I decided to test the first antenna I had (a cheap flat antenna from amazon) to compare, and while this one pulled in far more channels still, I couldn't get it back to the EXACT position it was in to reliably pull in what I needed. It IS better than the first antenna I tried, but ultimately WAY too sensitive to the slightest movement or adjustment. I exchanged for a Mohu Beam and the difference is night and day. Before I tried that one, I would've rated this probably 3 stars.

    It's average at best

You would think with a powered antennae you'd have a longer range than just the plug in and hang kind. You'd be wrong. I also have 2 of the plain jane - RCA white OTA antenna and those two work 10 times better than this one. Not worth the money.

    Brings in great 1080 resolution

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I have a 32" HDTV (1080 resolution) that I use for just OTA (antenna). This brings in true HD without digital "break-up". I found I can use it as just plain "rabbit ears" with the amplifier turned off with the same resolution as with the amplifier turned on - but then I live on a hillside only about 10 miles (and with direct line of sight) from the antenna farm that broadcasts the local TV stations.

    Works well for major networks

In Bay Area this antenna gets major networks (NBC, CBS, ABC, etc) and also Spanish networks (Univision, Telemundo). Great option for "cutting the cord' and easy to set up. Only negative is that the antenna coaxial cable is not too long, built in, and cannot be replaced by a longer one if needed.

    Amplified isn't always better, disappointed...

Doing quite a bit of research into antennas, I found that your experience will vary considerably depending on many environmental factors. Ultimately, I returned this antenna. Using this antenna in the foothills of Los Angeles with direct line of sight of transmission towers, here is my experience. Note that "amplified" antennas can actually cause interference on high signal channels. PROS: -Well built and that's about it CONS: -Constant interference from walking by it, wifi router, and even from cables/electrical cords -Didn't seem to pick up channels from all directions simultaneously, and needed constant adjusting -This $30 "amplified" antenna performed no better than a $15 non-amplified antenna. -Unplugging the amplifier didn't help. After having to adjust the antenna daily, I decided to try the Mohu Leaf 30 (non-amplified) and was amazed that such a thin antenna could pick up 15 additional channels and previously glitchy channels come in perfectly. BOTTOM LINE: I can't recommend this antenna. If you live in a 20 mile radius of towers, stick with a NON-amplified antenna. The flat antennas may seem odd, but they work but they work way better.

The antenna works great for allowing you to watch most channels. I had some difficulty watching some of the smaller channels and I live in a large city. I purchased a different antenna with a longer range to pick up the smaller channels for another tv.

We wanted a cheap way to watch the Olympics without having to pay for cable. This worked great. If we feel like wasting more time watching TV we may even keep using this antenna in the future.

HD channels look great when they are working. Antenna can be picky when it comes to signal. If you walk in front of it be ready to lose the channel

The antenna broke in half when I lightly bumped into it (no, I am not the incredible hulk). I live in a major metropolitan area and I can pick up several stations but it freezes or shorts out all the time. Its annoying. I bought a $6.00 flat antenna online and it works way better. I would not recommend this antenna. It was a waste of money.
