I get a few dozen channels with this, including all of the major stations. It was very easy to set up (just plug it in). I like getting the major networks and not having to pay for it every month. Originally I had the antenna 6 feet off the ground, but found it actually did better about 2 1/2 feet off the ground. Don't think you need to have it up high or anything for it to work.

I recently dropped TWC and went to Ditectv. On my 5Th TV which is used once or twice per year, I decided to not pay Directv $6.50 per month so I bought the RCA antenna. It gives great picture but picks only local broadcast channels.

The price of Direct TV got too expensive so I went with an antenna system which get all the local channels quit well. Once in awhile the signal still breaks up, but less than Direct TV did. For the money, this is a good antenna.

If you can read English & plug in 2 cables, this is the unit for you. Get excellent reception, most all the local channels. Very simple to set-up & now fuse to use. Will advise to purchase for anyone needing off the air amplifier.

I had no intention of going this far but after a 12 month Sling Deal I figured why not?? Asked a salesman about a "cheap" but good antenna and was pointed to this item. I have tried several antenna to get broadcast stations and none had done the job. After a learning curve of how to get my television to auto scan, I was shocked and delighted that this picked up 16 channels. That's the equivalent to old school basic cable! I do get pixelation occasionally but I got that with my HDTV cable box. The funniest part is. That this antenna made me realize my providers service was less than stellar HD. The picture is actually better, sharper, and clearer with this antenna!

I've been pleased overall with this antenna. It's extremely simple to set up, just take it out of the box and then connect it to your TV after extending the analog antennas and plugging in the power cord. I hoped this antenna would be a strong performer, but have only been marginally pleased. I live 30 miles from a metro area, but after initially scanning and enjoying channels I've had some not be received anymore. All the primary networks are received clearly though, so I've been pleased in that regard. When setting up the antenna be sure to direct the flat black side towards the city/broadcast antenna closest to you for best reception. Its not a large antenna so don't expect wonders, but it works!

My husband and I moved and the cable provider we chose couldn't install our service for 3 weeks. After a couple of days without "tv", not having it and the background noise you are used to having with TV was driving me crazy. So, we decided to go to Best Buy to see what options were out there. After consulting with a Best Buy employee, we decided to try this product. It worked great and got us by until our cable was installed. It picked up several local channels.

We had previously purchased an antenna for 80 bucks and were told by ee that it was most popular one. When we got it home, it would not pick up ABC, CBS and a few other big networks. We were told we could not pick up ABC with any antennas in our area( Alamo Ranch, SA,TX) we exchanged it for this one and guess what? We get ABC, CBS and plenty other networks. Sometimes signal gets lost, but majority of time its good. And it was only 30 bucks

I had an antenna prior to this one and it was horrible. This one was easy to set-up and it gives us many more channels than our last antenna. I found the closer it is to the window the better it works.

Antenna works great. We pick up lots of local stations, would have gave it 5 stars but it takes up a lot of space when antennas are extended. Also like the built in Amplifier.

This was very easy to set up (even for the technically challenged) and was operating 10 minutes after opening the box. Reception was good, especially considering the price.

I get very good reception of my local channels. Video and audio are of fine quality. Easy to install and use. My only complaint is the lead in to the TV could be longer.

this antenna does its job very well provided it has clear access to "open spaces". Mine is used on a TV in a room wedged between 2 buildings so there is quite a bit of signal infrigement. The result is that it has touble getting all the available channels that are available. It get all but one. That's a small price to pay for the great picture it brings to the TV. Also, it's EXTREMELY easy to connect and install.

I installed this on my sister's tv in a rural area and it is so good, she may not get cable TV. She just moved into a new home in a rural area that most people are only able to use satellite TV connections. After turning the tv set on and adjusted the antennae, we had all 3 of the major networks and another 7 channels besides. They were crystal clear and in HD.

This is the second of these units I've purchased. Both work fairly well in Durham. We get ABC, NBC, CBS, CW, PBS, MeTV, Fox and a country music channel at least. It can take some re-angling of the antennas sometimes to get channels to come in strong enough. I want to try to purchase a $50 antenna next time to see if the extra cost eliminates the need to re-angle to save a little hassle. I think that would be worth $25, but not the $75-150 it would cost to get to the next tier of antenna. Make sure you check the web to see what signals are in your area and which direction they are so you can point your antenna the right direction for the signal you want.
