Not worth the headache

Posted .Hello Pk101 - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal or not. Unfortunately there are some locations where it is difficult to get a great viewing experience with any antenna. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location. Some other factors when it comes to selecting a proper antenna for your location include factors like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. In most instances, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you generally have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse.

Allows me to use TV in my bedroom

Perfect for getting the am local news and weather while getting ready for work. My other TV has the cable box in the den.

RCA Antenna not worth it.

I live 25 miles away from Washington DC and 35 miles away from Baltimore. Barely get half the channels from either city. We have no large trees and yes I used the RCA app to configure and align the antenna at an window. Getting YouTube TV instead.

Posted .Hello BBFAN - The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location, is the single most important factor on whether any antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there or pixelation may occur if the signal is weak or intermittent. There are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal due to a lack of strong signals and other factors in the surrounding environment that can potentially (negatively) affect those signals. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. Don’t waste your money!
