Garbage
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this because it was amplified. Had it in window high up and won't even pick up local CBS channel. Have a two year old antenna from QVC with superior performance. Returned to store within 3 hours of purchase

Posted .Hello ek89 – The signal strength at the exact spot inside your home where the antenna sits is the single most important factor in whether any antenna can receive a signal or not. Place the antenna higher and near a window facing the towers, uncoil all coax, and run a new Channel Scan after each adjustment until you find the best location within your home. Keep the antenna away from nearby Wi-Fi routers, cordless phones, large metal objects. Materials used in the construction of your home (Low-E windows, metal siding/roofs) also play a factor. You can use the FCC map to verify tower direction/distance: https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps. Need additional help? Junk!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this antenna, hoping to pick up a few channels. After numerous attempts, I got a big, fat zero channels found. I was hopeful that since Best Buy was selling it, it would work. I will be returning it tomorrow. Just for reference, I live eight miles from downtown Pittsburgh, and it didn't work for me.

Posted .Hello DavidJ - Sorry to read that the antenna did not work for you when you tried it at your specific location. Hopefully we can offer a couple tips that may help get you watching Free HDTV. First of all, we want to make sure that you performed a channel scan using your TV’s menu system. This is the most important and most often over-looked step after connecting the RCA antenna to the TV. Unfortunately each TV manufacturer has a different process on how to get to the channel scan function within its menu settings, so you will have to look at your TV owners manual for those specific steps. Also, make sure your TV input is set to "Antenna" or "Air" or something similar. Also, if you can place the antenna near (or in) a window facing the broadcast tower general direction the better your chances are of receiving a signal. It also helps when you completely uncoil the antennas cable before running the channel scan. If all of that does not work, I would check your TV to ensure that it does indeed have an ATSC tuner which is needed to receive today’s digital broadcast signals. Most TV's built around 2007 have this type of tuner. An easy way to find out is by finding your TV model number and doing a Quick Google Search for your TV model number. The type of tuner should be an “ATSC” (not an NTSC) as mentioned above. If it does not, you will need to purchase a digital converter box. If you can send us a quick email to RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code we can take a look to see what other specific information we may be able to provide to help you get watching Free HDTV.

WASTE OF MONEY

Posted .Hello BLUDEMON – Indoor antennas require a Channel Scan (Auto Program) to detect and display available stations after setup. This step is outlined in both the Owner’s Manual and the Quick Start Guide, and without completing it, your TV will not recognize any channels, regardless of your location.
Even if you’re close to broadcast towers, a channel scan must be performed any time the antenna is connected, adjusted, or relocated. Placement is also key—antennas should be positioned as high as possible and near a window facing the broadcast towers for the best signal.

Poor Reception
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pixelation issues no matter where I put it near or on the window. Scanned 30 channels in but only one channel is clear. One problem that I wished I would've notice is that the coaxial cable diameter is way too small. Now I can't return it because I would have had to have done so by 7/22/2024. I bought it 7/7/2024.

Posted .Hello JerryS - We're sorry to hear about the issues you're facing with pixelation and limited channel clarity. The signal strength inside your house is the most important factor on whether any antenna can receive a signal. There are several factors that can affect an antenna's ability to receive a strong signal, such as the signal strength from your local broadcast towers, the surrounding terrain, and whether you have a direct line of sight to the broadcast towers. Even the construction materials of your home can impact signal strength indoors. To improve reception, try placing your antenna as high as possible, ideally near a window that faces the direction of the local broadcast towers. It's also crucial to perform a channel scan through your TV's menu settings every time you move the antenna to ensure you're capturing all available signals.

Bad wire - Waste of money
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The coaxial cable connector seems badly configured. The wire is embedded in the device so it cannot be changed out. The device has never worked well although we scan 80 channels in our area, it loses signal. It seems to be entirely a bad wire which cannot be swapped out.

Posted .Hello conduct - Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience with the antenna. Many indoor antennas, including this model, are designed with built-in coaxial cables to ensure a secure connection and minimize signal loss, which can occur with separate or interchangeable cables. This configuration is standard for most indoor antennas to maintain consistent performance.
It’s also important to note that signal reception depends heavily on factors such as your location, the strength of broadcast signals inside your home, and potential interference from nearby structures or materials. Even with a strong scan result, changes in antenna placement, such as moving it closer to a window or facing the direction of broadcast towers, can significantly improve signal consistency. Performing a new channel scan after any adjustments is critical to capturing the best available reception.
