Hello LeeL - The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location, is the single most important factor on whether any antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there or pixelation may occur if the signal is weak or intermittent. There are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal due to a lack of strong signals and other factors in the surrounding environment that can potentially (negatively) affect those signals. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Typically, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window that faces the direction of your local broadcast towers, you will likely have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location.

Reception is mediocre at best. Signals fade in and out, even when it appears to be a strong signal at first and then antenna seems to lose the signal completely. Skip, this not worth the money

Hello Patricia - Sorry to read that the antenna did not work as expected at your specific location. Hopefully you did run a channel scan through your TV menu settings. That is the most often over-looked step after connecting your antenna to your TV. Keep in mind, there are several other factors that can affect your ability to receive the broadcast signal at your specific location. The biggest factors in whether any antenna can receive a signal relates to the broadcasters power & the signal strength at your specific location inside your home, the surrounding terrain, whether or not there you have a direct line of sight to the broadcast towers, meteorological conditions, large nearby structures and even the construction materials used in your dwelling. If you can send us a quick email to RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code we can take a look to see what other specific information we may be able to provide to help you get watching Free HDTV.

This is not the best indoor antenna. I have had better. The design is not that great, The way the wire is attached does not let it stand on its own like it is suppose to.

I bought the RCA product to pick up local stations only. It said on the box it came in that not only would it pick up local stations but a bunch of others. I got home installed the RCA app on my phone and hooked up the product. I could not pick up one of my local stations. I returned it to Best Buy.

Hello Saint1345 - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal or not. Unfortunately there are some locations where it is difficult to get a great viewing experience with any antenna. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location. Some other factors when it comes to selecting a proper antenna for your location include factors like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. In most instances, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you generally have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse.

What drunk ok'd the design of having the cable coming out of the bottom of the device causing it to fall over when the feet are used? It makes the feet worthless and it has to been mounted on the wall. Also, no where is there a mention that is a power supply mentioned until the box is opened.

Hello LoisM - Thank you for your feedback. We apologize if this design has not met your expectations when using the stand. We want to ensure you that considerable research and development go into the design of our antennas. The placement of the cable at the bottom of the unit is specifically engineered to facilitate both stand and wall-mounted setups, enhancing versatility based on varied user needs. For example, when wall-mounted, this design allows the cable to run directly downwards, aligning neatly along the wall for a cleaner installation and less strain on the connection.

Hello ArizonaPurchaser - Hopefully you performed a new channel scan through your TV's menu settings after connecting the new RCA antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after connecting the new antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse as you describe. Keep in mind that you have to also perform a new channel scan each and every time the antenna is physically moved or adjusted. The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal.

Hello DMarie - We're sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with your antenna. It's important to ensure that you have performed a channel scan through your TV's menu settings, as this is a crucial step often overlooked. Your TV will not recognize any channels until a channel scan is performed. Also, signal strength from your local broadcast towers varies depending on your exact location, the surrounding terrain, and even building materials in the construction of your dwelling, all of which can greatly affect reception. Please email us at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code, so we can assist further and hopefully improve your experience.
