Posted .Hello OferC- The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal or not. Unfortunately there are some locations where it is difficult to get a great viewing experience due to the lack of strong signals in your area. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location. Some other factors when it comes to selecting a proper antenna for your location include factors like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. In most instances, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you generally have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse.

May work better if i didn't have limited channels
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in Victorville California and we only have one tower so i have limited channels. I thought this would improve my ability to watch more channels unfortunately it did not work for me. May work better for someone near multiple towers or in a big city.

Posted .Hello, SusanB – Even when you're within range, several factors can impact your ability to receive channels. Signal strength can be reduced by obstacles like hills, trees, and buildings between your home and the broadcast tower. Materials inside your home—such as brick, concrete, metal, or foil-backed insulation—can also interfere with signal reception. Electronic devices nearby (like routers or TVs themselves) may introduce noise that disrupts weaker signals. Multi-story homes, attic installations, or being on a lower floor can all affect results as well. For the best performance, place the antenna near a window facing the towers, fully uncoil the cable, and perform a fresh channel scan each time the antenna is moved.

Useless Waste of Money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the RCA amplified HDTV Antenna with a signal booster. It's as useless as the Walmart rabbit ears. I'm still not able to get but a couple of the major network channels and a couple of independent channels. There isn't a tower close enough (closest is 18 miles away and I live in the city) to make it work, no matter where or how it's positioned.

Posted .Hello Bill - Have you performed a channel scan using your TV’s menu system as noted in the Owner's Manual as-well-as the Quick Start Guide of the antenna? This is the most important and most often overlooked step after physically connecting the antenna to the TV. Your TV will not recognize any channels unless this step is performed. Unfortunately, each TV manufacturer has a different process on how to get to the channel scan function. The channel scan is typically found within your TV menu settings, so please refer to your TV owners manual for those specific steps on how to perform a channel scan as it is a function of your TV and not the antenna. The channel scan on some TV’s will take some time so please be patient. One the channel scan is complete, you should be able to view channels on your TV. Keep in mind that you will have to perform a new channel scan each and every time the antenna is physically moved or adjusted. If you do not rescan for channels after relocating the antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse. After performing the channel scan, make sure your TV input is set to "Air/Antenna" or something similar and not "Cable" within your TV menu settings. If you can place the antenna near (or in) a window facing the broadcast tower general direction, the better your chances are of receiving a signal. Also, make sure you completely uncoil the antennas cable before running the channel scan.

Trash, not worth it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Said this item would work in my home I even tested the website first. Was not easy to set up! Felt like I was back at my grandmother’s house try to get a signal with the “rabbit ears antenna”. Not doing tricks to get something I paid money for to work. Posted .Hello Scott - Sorry to read that this antenna did not perform well at your specific location. There are some locations where it is indeed difficult to receive a broadcast signal due to a lack of strong broadcast signals in your area. Setup is typically very easy and is described in both our Quick Start Manual and Instruction Booklet inside the antenna packaging and typically does not involve doing any tricks. If you can send us an email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you in determining which antenna would be best for your location. We love to hear when people are ready to Cut-The-Cord!

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my elderly father to attempt to lessen the cost of television services. Don't waste your money
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The associate who helped me said this was the best one so I didn't look at others and just bought it. He said this one "never gets returned". Other people probably did what I did and threw it away. It wasn't worth driving all the way back to return it. I didn't get anywhere near the channels that were displayed on the box. It was a waste of money.

Posted .Hi Lawrence - It sounds like you may be referring to the power supply/wall adapter for the antenna’s amplifier as the missing item. A separate wall adapter isn’t included, as many users prefer the cleaner, more streamlined installation that plugging directly into your TV's USB port allows. Just to clarify, one end of the included USB cable connects to the amplifier, while the other end can be plugged into a USB port on the back of most TVs. If your TV doesn’t have a USB port, any standard USB wall charger will work just fine. We hope this clears things up, and we’re happy to help further if you need!

Posted .Hello - Mileage performance varies in virtually every situation so making a 100% claim to a specific mileage antenna is very tough from a marketing standpoint. The mileage ratings are provided as a reference point to compare to other products currently being supplied in the market by other vendors and the claims that they indicate for those products. The biggest factors in whether an antenna can receive in a situation relates to the broadcasters power and the signal strength at your specific location, your surrounding terrain, if there is an uninterrupted line-of-sight to the broadcast towers, current meteorological conditions, nearby construction and natural foliage etc.
Also, it is generally assumed that there is a straight line-of-sight to the broadcast towers at a height of about 30 feet in order for any signal strength or mileage ratings to be completely accurate.
