Don't expect perfection gets most channels
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a couple of different antennas similar to this. Since this was a new model I tried it. They all work equally well each one has its glitches. You still have to have a good line of sight and not too heavily wooded area for the best reception.

Review of RCA Flat Amplified HDTV Antenna
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Difficult to use because the antenna has to be pointed in a specific direction. The stand is rickety and the coaxial cable does not allow the antenna to stand up well on a flat surface. Mounting the antenna on a wall does not point it in the correct direction.

Posted .Hello Albert - The signal strength at your location is one of the major factors on whether an antenna can receive a signal. As it mentioned, there are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal. Some other factors include things like the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the broadcast towers and even materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal indoors. If you can place your antenna high up, near a window, facing the direction of your local broadcast towers you may have better luck getting a signal. Always remember to rescan for channels through your TV menu settings any time you move your antenna.

Total Waste of Time and Money!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A total waste of time and money! Wish I could get a refund but probably too late and too much trouble. I went back and hooked up my old Radio Shack manual antenna and it works much better than this RCA electronic one.

Posted .Hello Robert - Hopefully you performed a new channel scan through your TV's menu settings after connecting the new RCA antenna. If you did not rescan for channels after connecting the new antenna, any new and expected changes in channels/reception would not be accurate and would likely be much worse as you describe. Keep in mind that you have to also perform a new channel scan each and every time the antenna is physically moved or adjusted.

AntenNO
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was barely able to get any channels with this product. It comes with no remote so make sure you have your own and it also advises to download an app which basically shows how close you are to the nearest satellite. Really pointless and cheap. Don’t buy.

Posted .Hello Lord - Sorry to read that you were only able to get a handful of channels at your specific location. Hopefully you performed a channel scan using your TV’s menu system. This is the most important and most often over-looked step after connecting the RCA antenna to the TV. Unfortunately each TV manufacturer has a different process on how to get to the channel scan function within its menu settings, so you will have to look at your TV owners manual for those specific steps. Your TV tuner decodes the signals received by the antenna and your TV controls the changing of the channels, not the antenna. You can place the antenna near (or in) a window facing the broadcast tower general direction the better your chances are of receiving a signal. It also helps when you completely uncoil the antennas cable before running the channel scan. The RCA Signal Finder App merely shows where your local broadcast TV towers are located. If you can send us a quick email to RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com with your zip code we can take a look to see what other specific information we may be able to provide to help you get watching Free HDTV.

Posted .Hello - The installation of an RCA antenna involves connecting the antenna wire to the rear of your TV and performing a channel scan through your TV menu settings. Here is a link to a video that shows the installation of one our indoor antennas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4BqYIRouic

This TV antenna does not work as advertised
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live within 25miles away from several local TV stations. Purchased this TV antenna wishing to receive a few local channels to watch local news and weather but instead it received a few other unwanted channels which I’m not familiar with. Very disappointed. Return it.

Posted .Hello Lourdes - The biggest factors in whether an antenna can receive a signal relates to your distance from the broadcast towers and the signal strength at the your specific location. Other factors include the surrounding terrain, whether or not there is an actual line of sight to those nearby broadcast towers, large nearby structures (or trees) that could potentially block the incoming signal. If you can send us a quick email at RCAAntennaHelp@voxxintl.com we would be glad to assist you further!

Not 55 mile range
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought an indoor TV antenna online. The specs said 55 mile range but never worked - my Washington DC stations are >30 miles! Went to the Gainesville, VA to return and store was closed due to the pandemic. They denied the return once the store was open stating the store was open for over 10 days and its too late now.

Indoor Antenna is a hit or a miss.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I barely got 3 channels, that too with a lot of pixelation. Bought a clearstream outdoor antenna and managed to get 50 channels. The built in amplifier did not make any difference
