Works better than a more expensive mode.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This antenna works well. It is more reliable than a more expensive antenna that I bought before. I occasionally lose signal on one of the channels, but it's not that often and I think that's just the nature of the beast. I live between 2 big hills. It helps to place it as high as you can. Put it near a window and avoid metal. It sure beats paying for cable.

Worked good
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Belive it or not, there is still bradcast television. I bought this to view a football game that wasn't available on my streaming services. It worked pretty good. They are dependent on line of sight and distance.

Appears to work ok as advertised...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did not buy this for me to use, but for my daughter, who elected to forego getting cable for her new apt., and instead got internet only and is using a Amz. Firestick & Roku for her regular viewing habits. I got this antenna for her to be able to watch the local news/tv stations. First, I (mainly) bought it because it was on sale. I had done a little googling of best OTA TV antennas, but this one wasn't named among them; however, on sale the price was cheap enough for me to take a chance on it, and the specs seemed to match those of the so-called 'best OTA antennas' I had googled (by specs I mean, mileage ran and some of the extras), so I figured what the heck, its worth a try. Setup of the antenna was easy; I plugged it into the TV, placed the flat pannel on the wall above it, and ran the TV's OTA channel search and waited for it to complete. When it was done, she had over 40+ channels to view. The main local channels (ABC, CBS, NBC, CW...not sure about FOX, can't remember) came in clear, but ABC was wonky/inconsistently available; the other channels were more stable/reliable. Mind you, I only verified the channel stability for an hour or so before we left to go home, but I've been checking with my daughter about it since I installed it a month ago, and initially she indicated the first week the channels were fine, then after that they weren't so clear. Turns out the new router I purchased her just needed to have its cable moved away from the TV antenna's cable; once she did that and re-adjusted the OTA tv antenna a little, now her channels are clear and stable again...except for ABC, which still is hit/miss. But that is to be expected; with OTA TV antennas, a clear/stable channel is contingent upon many different variables out of your control: distance of the OTA HD signal from the TV station, amount of outside interference from other signals (for example, living in an apt. bldg like my daughter does, where there are multiple tenants using multiple wireless devices whose signals can interfere with the OTA TV HD signal...versus living in your own home, where you MIGHT only have to worry about another neighbor or 2's devices, depending on how close their homes are to yours, the range of their devices' signals, etc), how many walls the signal is going through, weather (is it storming/cloudy or clear?...) etc... I say that to say this: it works good enough for my daughter to get the local channels as I wanted her to be able to so she can catch the local news/weather, and she is actually able to watch one of her main TV shows on it also, so bonus for that. With that said, as has been stated in other people's reviews, don't expect to get HBO, premium channels, ESPN, etc or anything of that sort with this; those signals aren't being broadcast freely like your local TV stations, so it won't pick them up. You'll get a lot of other channels you probably won't ever look at or didn't even know existed, but if you want to cut the cable/satellite cord and use Firestick/Roku, and just need an OTA antenna to catch local TV stations/news, this one works just fine; if you can catch it on sale, even better. It gives a great HD picture (on her 2008 Samsung Plasma TV that is), the channels are mostly stable/clear/without issue, and you'll get a decent amount of channels (depending on where you live of course) to boot. There may be better ones out there, but I wasn't willing to put in a lot of time/effort to vet that, and after buying this one, I'm glad I didn't...

Over the next couple of days, several channel’s exhibited flickering on the screen. I moved the antenna to a window and the tv again displayed great. Within a couple of days, the flickering teturned. I returned the anyenna.

Posted .Hello WayneG - Signal strength from nearby broadcast towers inside your home is the most important factor in whether an antenna can receive channels successfully. Objects like trees, large structures, and nearby electronics can weaken these signals. It’s essential to perform a full channel scan every time you move or adjust your antenna so your TV can update available channels based on its new position. Also, be sure to fully uncoil any extra antenna cable to avoid signal loss. Very good HDTV Antenna
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Extremely easy installation and the signal quality is great, the only reason I gave it a good rating is that I wish the cord was longer.

Easy to set up and works well
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can’t compare to any other models, but it was easy to set up, and works well. I’m very pleased with it overall. Our tv is in the basement, so I was a little worried about the reception, but it appears to be fine.

Lots of Local Channels
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This antenna works very nicely to pick up numerous local channels. This comes in particularly handy if there are squabbles with cable or satellite companies for local channels. The main HD channels have a nice crisp picture.

Better than most
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I coupled this with an Insignia 40 inch TV. I also downloaded the RCA app which gives the locations of local towers that send out the signal. I am happy to say that by moving it in two directions, I am able to pick up 33 channels, six which are 1080p and 10 that I regularly watch. This is nearly double what I picked up with other antennas I've tried. I have it sitting on a table next to the tv and it really doesn't look out of place. This was a very good purchase!
