Posted .Hello EldonB – If you’re seeing fewer channels than expected, please make sure you’ve performed a Channel Scan (Auto Program) through your TV’s menu after connecting the antenna and relocating the antenna for better placement. Without that step, your TV won’t recognize available broadcasts. Reception varies by location, and the signal strength from the local broadcast towers inside your home is the single most important factor affecting how many channels an antenna can receive. Placement also matters — try positioning the antenna high, near a window facing the broadcast towers, and rerun the scan. You can check local tower locations at https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps

I see 50-90 free channels depends placements of the antenna something interference from cars Trucks and Busses. Placement in open or closer to windows may help your signal.

Posted .Leee, if you weren’t able to receive any channels, the two most common causes are low signal strength inside the home at the antenna’s location and not performing a channel scan after connecting the antenna to your TV. Your TV will not show any channels unless a channel scan is performed. Please set the TV to “Antenna/Air” mode, and run a full channel scan/Auto Program—this is required any time the antenna is connected, moved, or adjusted. Even at ~40 miles, reception can be impacted by terrain, building materials, and obstructions, so try placing the antenna as high as possible near a window or exterior wall facing the Duluth towers and keep the coax run as direct as you can. Great Antenna

We got a few of these for our family’s cut the cord project. We were happy with the 42 free channels we got with these. We hung them on the wall. Be willing to experiment a bit with placement, as a few inches one way or another can make a difference. I believe that depending on what is in the wall where you are mounting it, makes a big difference. If you aren’t getting much try moving it a few inches.
