We typically stream and then watch local news so these are perfect. Signals are great for picking up the local network affiliates.

I wanted to grab some network stations on a second TV and lose the Cable Charge for thta existing connection. The device was not strong enough to pull in any national network. One day, it found three random stations, but the connections were not viewable. On subsequent days, it was unable to find any stations. This was a complete wast of money on my part.

Posted .Hello greenwitenvy - The signal strength from your local broadcast towers, at your exact location, is the major factor on whether an antenna can receive a signal. No antenna will receive a signal that isn't there. There are some locations where it is difficult to secure a watchable signal due to a lack of strong signals in the area and other factors in the surrounding environment that can potentially (negatively) affect those signals. Some of those other factors include things such as the surrounding terrain, whether or not you have a line-of-sight to the local broadcast towers and even the materials used in construction of your dwelling have an impact on the signal strength indoors. Typically, if you can place your antenna high up, near a window that faces the direction of your local broadcast towers, you will likely have better luck getting a signal.

work best on smooth, clean surfaces—if applied to textured walls or uneven paint, slight lifting can occur. Weak reception often points to signal blockage from nearby buildings, low placement, or interference from electronic devices.
Try relocating it to a higher window or an exterior-facing wall, keeping it away from large metal objects or your Wi-Fi router. After repositioning, always run a new channel scan to ensure your TV detects the updated signal paths. You can verify signal strength in your location and tower distance using the FCC tool here: https://www.fcc.gov/media/engineering/dtvmaps

The Geek Squad also hooked this up for me in order for me to get basic stations on my newly purchased Smart TV from Best Buy. It does a terrific job!! Very clear picture- accesses all the stations I desire!
