Advertised mileage range deceiving

The Application that helps you set up the antenna and position it in the right direction is helpful, but not product proprietary, and therefore can be downloaded from the App store and used on less expensive antennas with the same success rate. The power cord is shorter than the antenna cord, thus limiting the ability to position the antenna optimally.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, this didn't work for me. On one Samsung Smart TV, this antenna did not pick up a single channel. I tried with the amplifier and without the amplifier. Nothing. I switched to my other Samsung non-Smart TV and picked up 12 channels then I put on the amplifier and got 15 channels. All the channels are mostly ones I have no clue about. The only channel it picked up that I'm likely to watch is PBS. No NBC, ABC, CBS, Fox, etc. None of those channels were picked up. I guess it depends on location, as they say. Will be returning.

Posted .Hi RaiderHawk – Thanks for taking the time to share your detailed experience. You're absolutely right that location plays a big role in reception. Factors like distance from broadcast towers, surrounding terrain, and even the construction materials of your home can all impact signal strength. No antenna will pick up a signal that is not there. It's also critical to rescan for channels after adding or removing an amplifier so your TV can detect the updated signals.

This works great for accessing over the air channels in all types of weather. I now have this antenna on both my tvs

Maybe low signal strength in geographic area I reside in. This did not work for me, so I returned this purchase.
