Customers enjoy the PODMIC Dynamic Podcasting Microphone for its outstanding sound quality, attractive design, and reasonable price. The built-in pop filter and compact size are also appreciated by users. However, some customers have noted that the microphone is heavy and requires an XLR cable, which may be inconvenient for some users.

This really is an excellent mic for the price. It is XLR only so you will need an interface of course, but it is worth going with it. There is a nice warmth to the sound. When I played it for my daughter, she commented on how natural this mic sounded compared to the Blue Yeti which has an almost mechanical sound. It is a tremendous value for the price. Don't spend the $300 plus on other mics for spoken word.

This is a great XLR microphone to get started with and stick with. There are a wide range of XLR microphones with different capabilities and generally higher prices. This microphone checked all the boxes, Great price, great quality and versatile. I have it paired with the Wave Link XLR. So far, so good.

Started a podcast with a few friends and after a lot of research online this dynamic mic from Rode is great! The best part is it’s only $100 which is an amazing price for such a well constructed and sounding mic. Depending on your needs, you may want a pop filter to put on as it does occasionally allow sone pops through, but again for the price point it is really a fantastic mic.

One of the best value dynamic mics on the market, my only gripe is that you have to be 2-3 inches away from it for the best quality, sometimes I stray away unconsciously from it which isn't ideal.
Otherwise, extremely solid, sounds amazing, and it's VERY hefty.

Amazing. Just amazing. Rode is a brand now I can say is just all around 10/10. Don't let this mic fool you - its almost perfect, and the price only makes it more of an amazing product. If you're like me and looking for a mic to do voiceover, streaming, and chat --- without going all the way into the $300+ arena, this is for you. I use now with my GoXLR, Rode PSA-1 mount, and its perfect. Seriously great job Rode.

This mic has been around for awhile now but it's still one of the best dynamic mics for the price. It's also a really good looking mic. Built-in pop filter too so you don't have to cover it up with an ugly foam pop filter.

I am really enjoying this mic. I bought this microphone because i stream a few times a week in an untreated (not soundproof) room. The quality of the mic has been astounding and gives a really clean sound. If you can put together an XLR setup, it is definitely worth it for the price.
Note: This is a power hungry dynamic microphone that does not use phantom power so make sure your audio converter has the power to run it. I use the Audient Evo 4 and had to run the gain to this mic at near 100% (3:00 on the dial). If you need to boost the mic, you can get a fethead or coda mb1/stealth to boost this mic and let it sound the fantastic way it should.

I tested this mic side-by-side against shure and EV and this rode mic sounds of equivalent Quality. Each mic has pros/cons, but for the price of this mic you're playing in the same field as much more expensive mics.
