Customers are saying

Customers admire the SC7 0.55' 3.5mm TRS to TRRS Patch Cable for its compatibility with various devices, particularly the Rode Videomicro and Pixel 2xl. They also appreciate the excellent sound quality it delivers. iPhone users find it convenient to connect the cable to their devices. While some customers find the price to be a bit high, others suggest the need for a lightning to audio jack adapter for iPhone 11pro.

You need this converter to connect any phones for recording, it’s should be on the mic box, but it’s not and you need to buy separately.

This did work with the Rodelink and an iPad but with many drops in the audio. The RODE - 3.5mm-to-3.5mm Female/Male Microphone Adapter - Gray/Black (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/rode-3-5mm-to-3-5mm-female-male-microphone-adapter-gray-black/6255420.p?skuId=6255420) works great and has no drops so I recommend that one over this one for purposes of linking the Rodelink to a mobile device.

I never could get this to work between my Rode and iPhone XS Max. I eventually had to give up. I believe it is the type of mic and it’s compatibility with phones. In other words my review is partial.

Ok.. I was highly recommend this would work on my iPhone to be able to record sound onto it while bypassing its internal microphone. I have the iPhone 8. So I used the adapter that comes with the phone to connect to this since the iPhone no longer has a headphone jack. Did not work. I tried on on my iPad. Did not work. So I figured maybe it was defective. I bough a second Rode SC7. Same issue. Tried it on multiple different iPhones. No luck. Useless. I was trying to live stream and did not want the iPhones internal microphone to pick up sound.
