The RODE - 3.5mm-to-3.5mm Female/Male Microphone Adapter - Gray/Black (https://www.bestbuy.com/site/rode-3-5mm-to-3-5mm-female-male-microphone-adapter-gray-black/6255420.p?skuId=6255420) works great and has no drops so I recommend that one over this one for purposes of linking the Rodelink to a mobile device.

I eventually had to give up. I believe it is the type of mic and it’s compatibility with phones. In other words my review is partial.

I’ve bought 2 and nothing

I was highly recommend this would work on my iPhone to be able to record sound onto it while bypassing its internal microphone. I have the iPhone 8. So I used the adapter that comes with the phone to connect to this since the iPhone no longer has a headphone jack. Did not work. I tried on on my iPad. Did not work. So I figured maybe it was defective. I bough a second Rode SC7. Same issue. Tried it on multiple different iPhones. No luck. Useless. I was trying to live stream and did not want the iPhones internal microphone to pick up sound.
