Just before I was going to throw it away, a friend received a used one and asked for help in getting a replacement battery. What, the battery can be replaced? After searching multiple locations, Best Buy had the best price and it was delivered for pick up in the store within days of being ordered. And a big hats off to the Valley Stream staff for allowing me to pick up the batteries just a few minutes after closing. Now that's customer service!

Saved money at Best Buy

Rather than buy an entire unit I got the replaceable battery. It was difficult to get the old battery out and the new one in but this is a problem with the backup device design not the battery. The replacement battery made the backup/surge protector work like new and for a lot less money.

Genuine APC Replacement Battery

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Actual battery produced by APC/Schneider Electric, not a knock-off sold as APC brand (as Newegg.com does) Comes in full replacement battery packaging as if bought from APC themselves, but about 25% cheaper and no charge for shipping. Next time one of my UPSs needs a replacement, Best Buy will be the first place I turn.
