I needed to send my IR signal upstairs to another TV and this worked just perfectly.

I bought a new Sonos surround sound system that could only be controlled with an I.R.remote control. After getting tired of standing up so the remote could be aimed at the Sonos sound bar to adjust the volume up and down, I ordered this Recoton - Infrared Range Extension System. You basically aim your remote at the receiving unit of the Recoton unit and it relays the signal to the other Recoton unit aimed at the Sonos infrared receiving eye. It worked for a few days and then quit, so we changed the batteries in the remote control and it worked a few additional days...Now, not at all again. I'm about ready to put it back it the box and go back to standing up to adjust the volume.....to avoid the aggravation.

A little disappointed in how this works. The window in which you have to point your controller at to get it too work is extremely small compared to other units I have used. Probably would purchase a different setup over this in the future.

For signal from room to room is perfect. No problems at all.

Doesn't always work, very frustrating. Also, seems to be rather directional. Not as wide of a field to pick up the signal. Will be replacing this.

Bought it, got it home, plugged it in. Works great!

Setting up this device was simple. However, it would not work well if more than 10ft away. I recently put my TV over the fireplace & the cable box, etc. in the cabinet to the side of the TV. Not wanting to have to leave the cabinet doors open each time I use the TV in order to change channels, etc., I purchased this product. While it worked ok if I was standing within 5-8ft, anything over 10ft away would not pick up or at all.

Works as described but found the range to be limited to only about 10 feet.

Difficult to read my remote control from any place in the living room.

I returned this product because it did not help with my tv getting better reception. I wanted to be able to change the channel on my patio tv while being outside but still could not with this device. I couldn't see any difference so I felt like it didn't work.
